Hi Billie Do you use Photo Mechanics? If so would it be possible to do a video/zoom etc. I can't seem to get my head round the software. I'm sure sports and even wedding photogs would find it useful.😀
@@harishchavdampagbaips3597 Yes, I do use Photo Mechanic. Great idea for a video! It can be a little bit overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it it's not so bad! Will try to make a video on it.
Thanks! I use manual focus. Set the focus manually to the shot you are looking for, then tape the focus ring down with gaffer's tape to lock it in place. That way the autofocus doesn't jump around to unwanted subjects!
Video suggestions how do you catch action on the in field, do you make up a picture list for pictures you want to get for each game, an interview with veteran (film) photographer on how sports photography has changed, newspaper magazines and the internet.
How did you trip the camera to start taking photos? Did you start the camera firing? I saw you setting up the interval timer unclear how the first photo was started. Great video. Do you set up remotes for every game like at home plate or overhead?
Good question! So once I set up the in-camera built in interval timer, there are two options. The first is to "start now" which starts the shutter firing right away. The second is to "set time and date" to start, where you can choose your time for the camera to begin firing. In this case, I set it for about 30 mins after I set up the camera, based on timing of when the flag was going to drop. Typically I would have used a pocket wizard to just fire right when the flag dropped, but at the time I didn't have access to my pocket wizards that were locked in the office due to Covid restrictions. Yes, for many games we set up remotes on home plate and overhead!
@@billieweiss7681 Thanks for answering my question. Little nerve racking setting the timer, don't drop that flag early or to late. I think I will have to play with it when I can shoot high school sports again. Keep the videos coming.
Hi Billie! Watching your videos for a couple of months and love the content. From workflow to field set up, love it all. Suggestion: Focus techniques and tracking moving subjects, BBF and the use of joystick to lock your subject. Just a though. Oh! By the way subscribed to Hunt's newsletter!
What's your typical workflow like for processing and getting the photos out? If players want specific photos, do you send them over to them or how does that work?
Great question! I edit in-game with my laptop in front of me using a combination of photoshop, photo mechanic, and photoshelter. Hopefully I can make a video about it soon. Yes, we provide photos to the players!
Hello Billie...here in Costa Rica we say Pura Vida to say hello and goodbye...so, Pura Vida. I wonder, just before the flag went down, you changed something in your camera really really fast je, somehting in the menu or the play button I think...do you remember what did you changed? Thanks, Pura Vida.
Great video, Billie! Do you think Fenway would ever be open to hosting photography hours? Similar to park tours but geared toward allowing photographers to get some unique shots of Fenway
Glad you enjoyed it! It's a great idea. We've actually had something similar in the past called photography nights where you were able to shoot from various premium access points in the park and then get tickets to the game. Hopefully we're able to resume at some point when things get back to normal!
Awesome breakdown and shots! Seeing the flag drop in an empty Fenway is almost cooler than seeing it drop in a packed Fenway! I'd much rather watch the latter though.
That performance of Taps. Chills!
Thank you for sharing Billie!
You're welcome! Thanks for checking it out.
Great video
Thanks for the visit
@@billieweiss7681 always worthwhile content
That was a great video.....the bugle player really added to the feeling..love unique or different prospective.
Thanks Paul!
Good video Billie. I have a D5 & D4s so will check out. Does latter have this functionality too?
Absolutely! Same functionality and workflow.

Very cool!
Thanks Laiiiin!
Great video.
What type of focus do you use for the remote cameras

Thank you for the suggestions! All great ideas - adding to my list.

That was awesome Billie keep up the amazing work.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate it!
Great BTS footage. So looking forward to more as you open your world to us. ✌️
Glad you enjoyed it! more to come soon. Thank you!
Great behind the scenes look, great shots
Thank you!
Thanks for this BTS. How did you trigger the remote cameras?
You’re welcome! The built in interval timer shooting fires the camera automatically based on how many seconds you program it for!
Thanks!!
Huge content here. Nice work!
Wow thanks big ole Kell.

Loving your content! I would be fun to see times when you thought you got the shot but missed it..
Thank you! That's a great idea. It would be a long video, hahaha.
Yes I agree with this topic. Would love to see.

Thanks so much, Carlos! Yes, I use back button focus just about every time I shoot sports to lock on!

Do you use any filters such as a polarizer ?
Did you use a pocket wizzard or a vellor ?? How is the range. Most of it is 100mts avg. Are they really good ??
