I don't know where I heard it but is it true when you're out riding and you go to a water hole is it possible for a horse to pass out because the dress color being too tight?

I have never heard of this. I can imagine that it is possible or the horse was extremely hot, drank to much water with no chance to cool down and drank very cold water that sent it into shock overload to the body?
