Hey buddy this is a nice change of pace. We don't get to see the local residential neighborhoods of Bradford and i don't see this on other youtube channels. We get a sense of the home styles , people's front yard care, types of cars locals drive, etc. I didn't see anybody come out of their homes but this is how neighborhoods where i live are like. Nobody is out on the streets hardly ever. like 7
Thanks Stan yes this was my old Street where I grew up. The house towards the end is my old house where I grew up as a kid. It's changed alot but like you say no one comes out now lol
Was born and bred in girlington where you stand at the beginning is Weetwood road I lived on walker drive. Which is on the right as you go left onto the other part of walker drive the small part we called it of walker drive and then Blythe avenue.
BD8 ALSO COVERS THORNTON ROAD UPTO THE BOTTOM END OF BELL DEAN ROAD. I LIVED IN BD8 WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. USED TO GO TO THE POLICE BOYS CLUB ON WALKER DRIVE. BELL DEAN ROAD USED TO BE ALL OPEN FIELDS BECAUSE MY COUSIN AND I USED TO TAKE MY DOG ACROSS THERE FOR WALKS FROM THE ESTATE. I CAN STILL REMEMBER BELL DEAN ROAD BEING BUILT BECAUSE IT JOINED ALLERTON WITH THE LOWER GRANGE END
@@westyorkshiretraveller yeah I only know as I used to work at wynsors world off shoes down the road from there. And manager who was in her late 60s was telling. Also asked my mum and she said they used to be council houses and further from there on the left side there are some flats on the main road that were council flats. That's why the bricks are that colour. So people would know they belong to the council.
BD 8 ALSO COVERS LOWER GRANGE, THORNTON ROAD, BOTTOM END OF BELL DEAN ROAD. I CAN REMEMBER BEFORE BELL DEAN ROAD AND FLATS WERE BUILT BECAUSE IT USED TO BE ALL FIELDS WERE MY COUSIN AND I USED TO PLAY DOWN NEAR THE BECK THAT RUNS UNDER THORNTON ROAD
