I actually loved this story time and I think you’re a great friend. You hold people accountable and there’s sooo many people who don’t have/ don’t value a friend that keeps them accountable. That keeps people grounded and the fact that your friends accepted your tough love is great too.

I remember when I was broke around my best friend's birthday and we were going out to dinner. I made SURE to buy the cheapest thing on the menu and I was low key happy out waiter was a jerk because that meant I didn't have to tip him. People KNOW how much money they have. Sis was either trying to get over or she is really bad at finances. She should get mobile banking so it can tell her what is in her account.

I'm really weak watching this video cause a similar situation happened to me and lord I was pissed. I ended up paying my bill and left her at the restaurant cause I was embarrassed till this day I don't know how she paid her bill. Shawty bill came up to $360 and she had NO MONEY on her .😭😭😭 At least you was nice about the situation though that was some bullshit that she did .

Same! Went to Denny’s 10 deep after leaving the club, and ended up getting banned because 2-3 people just didn’t pay. The manager was trying to get one of their plate #s (he put someone else’s plate on his car at that). Not only that, but a couple of other people that were apart of the group were FULL BLOWN ARGUING with the waitress, and just overall being embarrassing. Whole time I just wanted to get my food and go tf home. It was too early in the morning to be doing all that, while drunk, after the club just let out. Definitely was the last time I hang out with just about all of them. 😂

I know sometimes a card will get declined if they notice alot of heavy spending in a short time and usually follows with the bank calling the phone number listed to verify the last couple purchases. I haven't finished the story yet so we'll see just benefit of the doubt haha 🤣

You should always make sure you have enough money when you go out. Especially, when you were spending money like it was nothing before we made it to the restaurant. OMG didn't have parents that would help her and she had to do it on her own, but that girl is old enough to learn how to be a responsible adult and take care of herself.
Accidents happen. It does. Everyone makes mistakes but that still doesn't excuse her for not keeping up with her expenses, asking for help (and I know that can be hard. I know from experience), and taking her sweet time to pay the friend that did pay the bill for her. Everyone at that table had their own lives. Their own bills just like her and she rung that bill up and then looked for them to step in.
Kay has always said if you ask and she knows you mean well, she will help you out. But sometimes they have to learn the hard way because if you cover them all the time, when are they ever going to learn from their mistake if you keep holding their hand? They will continue to do it instead of learning to get it together so no, kay isn't a bad friend for telling her friend about herself, telling her to pay the other friend, and making a storytime she most likely asked/told her friend about. And she also said under someone's comment that her friend okayed the video and said in the video that they are still friends. A lot of y'all are giving me the vibes that you didn't make it to the end or watched her other stories where she did pay for her friends, etc.

The blessing of not caring about others opinions…I had a minute phone right after college while getting on my feet and getting my first place and settled… every now and then someone tried to laugh at me and if I asked if they are buying me a new phone…. Silence. I am financially stable and now I don’t have debt from trying to live above my means. You were such a good friend for trying to help her be responsible and understand the phone plan.
Man I get anxious the RARE times I owe someone money. I just don’t feel right until I give it back. Like I have to pay them back ASAP or it will give me an anxiety attack. For real. I have given people whiplash at how fast I give them their money back with interest for the inconvenience. I don’t know how she could be so cool with not giving that girl her money back as soon as possible. I have a friend who insisted I stay a few months with free when I needed to get back on my feet. I helped where I could with food or gas and such but I hate I didn’t have more even tho she wanted to help. I was beyond happy when I was able to transfer a couple thousand in her account while deployed to Afghanistan. She started crying when she checked her account and saw my email. But little did she know it was actually selfish in my part. It drove me crazy until I could give her money! Lol

I woulda made her take everything back to Sprint and Forever 21 with the exception of the phone the next day. And when I say made I really mean it. That would have been the best life lesson for everyone. All I know is when I loan someone money and they don’t pay me when they say they will or at all, they will NEVER get a loan again. My auntie told me when I was 29… “Don’t loan out money you cannot afford to lose.” I think of that first prior to any loaning… car, sugar, pen, lash glue, shoes … don’t matter! 😂
If y'all get paid every other week she had to know that the money needed to last until the next check. She should have spent accordingly. She could have gone to Metro PCS and got herself a reasonable phone and plan for under $300. It wouldn't have been an I phone or Galaxy but it would have served it's purpose and she would have had money left. When you spend nonstop..which she did them purchases will add up quick. I learned that you have to consistently check your account to stay on top of things. She literally spent her entire check in one day. What about having gas money to get to work?.. lunch money? Emergency? She got paid again and was still stalling on repaying the other young lady the money she owed her.. priorities mixed up.
I check my account religiously and even the few times where I don’t I know when I need to stay my ass home. 🤣🤷🏽♀️

She should have gotten a nice but reasonably priced affordable phone. She knew how much money she was working with, and that she had other obligations. Cellphone sales people are going to always try to talk you into spending more money. They want a nice commission. You have to tell them what you're spending limit is and stick to it. She has poor spending habits. She's not looking at what her paycheck was vs what she actually has left in her bank account vs what she's buying/ ordering.
I think a good friend tells the truth instead of sugar everything and babying an adult. You weren’t a bad friend.

That's why I have alerts set on my card for every time a purchase is made, plus it shows my balance. That why I know what my balance is all the time, plus I go online to check my purchases and bills that have been paid.

I did this ONE time when I first started working 🤣🤣🤣🤣 giirrlllll I thought I was rich, spending money the whole day. Before dinner I looked at my bank and it said like $250 or something but I had forgotten my phone and streaming bills were do. I sat down at that table with ALL the confidence IN THE WORLD. Girl 🥴 Bill came to $150 I had $90 left in the bank and nothing in savings. I was sooooo embarrassed.
