    It will be good if Tascam adds the possibility of using the Portacapture X8 for VR applications (recording and listening) and also adding other mics (or even inserting an XLR extension) instead of the two removable microphones.

    Hi Robert, I've seen in a few other reviews that people are getting a high frequency (above 20khz) hum on all their recordings. Is this the same on yours?

    • @RobertDudzic
      @RobertDudzic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have any problem. For me noise is part of the sound a specially on the location. The noise what the talking about is way above humane hearing and what i see on TH-cam you can see but you can hear. So far what I know that was reported to TASCAM and the working on to eliminate this in future firmware update. The visual noise is not effecting my recordings and I use Portacapture X8 for almost year😊

    • @WilliamMorrisMusic
      @WilliamMorrisMusic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RobertDudzic thanks for letting me know! I believe the noise is only present when recording at 192khz as that's where the frequency range of the preamps goes up to 60khz. I know the noise won't be audible when played back normally but if you do any pitch shifting it will come into an audible range. I do a lot of pitch shifting so I'm just a bit concerned that the noise people are reporting would end up in my sounds.
