He’s not talking about the lyrics or the quality of singing/rapping, the point is Peep took backtracks from bands like Pierce The Veil, avenged sevenfold, crystal castles, beach house, etc. and would sing or rap over it. he was one of the first people to get popular doing that, and that has now inspired a ton of other artists to do that. EDIT: we all know peep is not the first person to sample- sampling has been around for ages, but no one else was sampling early 2000’s emo music with rap before him. that was the point of my comment and what Post said about him. if you dislike Peep, just say that- but there’s no denying he did change a lot within the rap community and tons of other rappers have said the same thing.

I was doing the same things he was doing and when he died, it was like a piece of the music left with him. idk how else to explain it. but it felt empty without him. and i thought, you know, how would that feel for my family, how would that feel for the people that cared for me, if what happened to him happened to me too. i realized there was alot more to life than dwelling on the past, and the best things in life, come from getting to know yourself. See the world, make plans, and live your life the way you want too. Live to see the future.
