Sonos Ace Headphones - Did Sonos Just Beat Apple?

- The Sonos Ace headphones bring over a lot of what I wanted out of an AirPods Max 2, like the ability to play lossless music over usb-c, lighter weight, and a usb-c port. However, are they good enough to be true AirPods Max replacements?

There's absolutely zero consensus on the QV Ultra vs XM5 vs Airpod Max. Aka there is definitely a comparison depending on what you value most.
You gotta remember some of us hate how heavy the airpods are. I tend to think the QC Ultra is overrated, but as someone heavily in the audio world, I know that is not an opinion shared by most.
I like the XM5 but understand that no folding is a deal breaker for some people.
My point is, saying "there's no comparison" is a useless statement. Give us reasons why you like Sonos better, so we can see if it aligns with what we value most as a potential buyer.
20 bucks says you've probably not even tried most of these headphones.
Hey bud you’re right. I shouldn’t have stated it that way. I have the QC Ultra and APM. It is my opinion the SONOS ACE have a much nicer sound signature than the QC Ultra’s. They have clear separation of instruments and nice low end. I also have found that the ACE’s are way more comfortable, the build quality feels more premium, the noise cancellation I believe is better than the APM and QC Ultra. I know sound is subjective but these are what I have found from testing all of these headphones.
The TV Audio Swap feature is an added bonus.

strange..I found the Sonos ace to be better in ANC and better overall sound quality. by far superior comfort too

I did pick up one of these and am happy with it for the most part. One thing that disturbs me, though, is the screeching treble in the 3K-4K range. The EQ is pretty weak and can’t get rid of that part. Bass is a bit excessive, too, but not too bad. I do like that I can pair this to two items at once, not quite as good as an actual Apple earphone, but still good. Overall, I like these. I might still like my Sennheiser Momentum 4 better.
EDIT: One other thing I found a bit annoying is that to put this in the case, I have to retract the headband a bit for it to fit. Every time I take it out of the case, I have to readjust the fit.
I'm tempted to get those next time. I like the AirPods Max, however they have had too many issues. I had to buy a new pair, and had replacements already. Being in Texas where it's humid doesn't work with an aluminum body. They get wet on the inside of the cups and headphones.
The Bose QC is my choice of headphones. They are really good!!

Actually me too! It look sutil and sophisticated.
You can get the Max for $449 when it's on sale and if you're remotely vested with the Apple ecosystem then I think the choice is clear. Sonos would be a headset I'd use with Android for that price.

I think if you’re able to spend that much on headphones for an apple user I do think the AirPods Max would be better but it would be recommended to wait for the USB C AirPods Max that we should see soon (probably at the next iPhone event)
On cables, a little stupid point. USB-C to USB-C is a charging cable, not audio one. Cable with headphone jack is longer. Really not a problem
It’s advertised as doing usb-c to usb-c audio and the 3.5mm one is still too short

I struggle to understand ppls obsession with a charging port. You act like it’s a 30 pin connector.
3/4th my tech is USB-C…the rest is lightning. Either way…the right cable is a stretch of the arm away. What am I missing?
Come on these cords crap out every 3-4 months. Who wants to be buying two different kinds? Especially when every other device is using the same cord. Then you've got the dumb red headed stepchild making life harder because it's special and has to have a different type of cord.

You dont really need one if you use them daily like youre supposed to. Youre meant to use them.

Given that Magic Accessories are still lightning and don't have to be transitioned to USB-C by the EU regulations, you do need to keep those cords around. AirPods Max probably isn't getting updated until there are enough feature changes to make it worthwhile to upgrade. And hopefully with iMac and now iPad Pro's skipping chip generations, this means more and more products will go longer without updates until it's actually worth it.
Headphones are one of the products EU requires to use USB-C.
That mean that Apple will need to change to USB-C if the wants to sell them in EU.
Literally cant even see the SONOS logo in your video, the highlights are too blown out to be able to see it

I can hear everything with airpods max if I don't have an Apple phone. These are great . I think because he has an Apple phone that's why he's choosing Airpod max
It's really doesn't matter how good or how bad the airport max sound. They are do heavy and so uncomfortable that I don't wear mine. Give me the Sony mx10005 all day, every day.
Nope, Beats Studio Pro beat AirPods Max. I have both and prefer the Beats over the AirPods Max for everyday usage.

It’s funny how everyone is saying the sound quality is not as good as the air pods max, but they are all listening to them on their iPhones . If you listen to them on an android like the s24 series it sounds soooooo GOOD!! For some reason apple seems to restrain the loudness the iPhone can do. I am an apple fan and have all their products but I also have an s24 and it sounds so much better.
Apple needs to step up their game.
I prefer sound quality and comfort overall all other features. I think still stick with AirPods Max.

Also you can tell this dude is the biggest apple fan boy because the sound quality of air pods max is not that great. There are other brands and headphone that are way better including the SONOS
@@UberFoX get an android phone and try the Sonos, xm5 or the Bose quiet comfort. If you are in the Apple eco system I understand why you love the AirPods because I am in it too. But I also use an android and they are very lackluster when it comes to sound quality. I even use Sony earbuds xm5 and they blow AirPods out the water. You don’t see people who are not Apple users going out and buying APM but you do see the opposite
