Out of the ones that are not translated, Ougon no Kizuna, Full Metal Alchemist games and Super Robot Taisen Neo seem perhaps the most interesting... maybe a couple more anime-based games like Katekyoo Hitman Reborn, Gintama, Kekkaishi or Gundam. Hard to tell how well they all play, though, just based on this.
@@mariusamber3237 Out of your list, I own "Ougon no Kizuna" and have successfully translated a few lines, for the sake of trying. But right now I'm on Chibi-Robo for Wii, and this game is reaally talkative! Maybe some day, I'll have a look at all these games! Stay tuned!
@@brandnewman9870 hey! playing through ougon no kizuna right now! thank you for translating it in the end! in fact, that game is the very reason i looked up this video! I'm also really enjoying playing throught it despite its blatant flaws... may i be the first and last ogon no kizuna fan?...
Nice vid, but you forgot Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes (which is NOT the same game as Ultimate All Stars, which released worldwide.)
I'd say up to a third of these games could have been translated and released in the West. The Wii's library in the US was not very strong, it gave the impression the system was only for kids and casual gamers. There were so few titles that hardcore gamers would seek out other than a few RPGs and a fighting game or two. A bunch of these games released in the US could have changed people's opinions.
Man someone dropped the ball by not bringing those anime games over to America. 2006 was when it was really getting popular. And since the wii did great with women they would have loved that.
Just 158 Japan exclusive games ?? It seems extremly little compared to the huge succes of the Wii ! I mean, in +1500 Wii games, if just 158 are Japan exclusive, it seems to me impossible !
There are also the WiiWare games I think... but yeah, in general the number was very low. Generally the newer the console, the fewer JP exclusives there are. For example - PS 1 had almost 2500 I think, whereas PS 5 has a couple dozen at most... the difference is just massive.

So many good games that were only released in Japan...
There are Full Metal Alchemist, Wii Visual Novels?!
you can play this games if you don't have Japanese console ?
Yea if you mod it and make it region free by using priiloader
You missed Amazing Animals, which was also a Japanese exclusive.
Also missed DDR Furu Furu Party and DDR Hottest Party (which had Japanese exclusive songs)
Metal Gear Solid 2 is JPN Exclusive too
