    Hard to believe, a storied franchise as the Miami Dolphins, this game was the last time they had a whiff of the Super Bowl. 25 years ago. Surreal. EDIT: 30 years ago and counting.

      @MGAF688 6 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      The Dolphins have been reduced to being happy with at least .500. Playoffs are almost always out of the question. Winning seasons are few and far between. :( Stephen Ross has not delivered success even though he became majority owner of the team in 09. From 09-17, just one playoff appearance, a road blow out loss to Pittsburgh.

    • @MGAF688
      @MGAF688 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      8 out of 9 seasons with Ross in majority control have yielded .500 or worse and just once with a record above .500. 10-6, 8-8, 8-8, 7-9, 7-9, 7-9, 6-10, 6-10, 6-10 = 65-79 .451 (basically 7-9 average for 9 seasons). I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel with Tannehill missing a year and trying to come back. That doesn't bode well for a successful 2018. I hope Miami takes serious consideration into bringing a Keenum or other experienced QB into the mix.

    • @allengreene9954

      The Dolphins needs to accept that Tannehill is a bust.

      Luke Enno good analysis of the W/L record. I used to have orange and aqua in my veins but I just can't root for this team anymore (I became a hard-core fan in '81 so I've seen a lot.)

    • @allengreene9954
      @allengreene9954 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Luke Enno Plus the fact that the team has had 7 different head coaches and only 7 winning seasons in the last 17 years. That should never happen.

      heydudedolfan13 and how they managed to beat Pittsburgh the following week is still a mystery to me.It was almost as if both games were fixed for San Diego to win.Miami up 21-6 at halftime and can't score another point the rest of game?Cmon ! And during Steelers game(I'm from Pittsburgh)there was a Nike commercial with Stan Humphries in it where at end said "Super bowl"before the Chargers/Steelers game was even over.I remember that like crystal clear to this day

This is the third I've watched, and it brings back fond memories of the early 90's enjoying the best team to never win the big game. Look at their record in 1993 against the NFC East. All close, all four wins. They should've won that year in a rematch against the Cowgirls. Oh well, ran out of steam after dominating the first half. Really excited for this season, though!

    Story of Marino's career. He has two TDs dropped by Clayton and Martin, and the Dolphins can't stop the Bills offense. Also, the offensive line, which was an overrated offensive line, couldn't give him any time to throw.

    • @comfortat
      @comfortat ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The Bills were a much better team. The defense kept the Dolphins in the game in the first half. It's hard to keep up that intensity when your team coughs the ball up so many times.
      It was only Marino's brilliance that kept Miami competitive. Put an average/good QB on those teams, and you would have gone 6-10 for a decade. Shula just couldn't add enough players around Dan to make them a great team.
      Remember, Griese had a HOF offensive line, 3 great backs and Paul Warfield, plus a terrific defense. Those were GREAT teams with a very good QB. These Dolphins were an average team with one of the greatest QB's of all time.

The 20 year interregnum has ended and the rivalry with the Dolphins will return to its natural state.

Out cheat the Cheater like I do on madden 25 all players amped to 99 all qbs either like Brady or manning in ability and all big hitters on offense and defense. And all sliders for both teams set at maxim so no one can say my team won so big because the sliders were up for me and not them. Then they couldn’t even run the ball pre Dan Marino getting there. The Dolphins had 5-6 seasons of no 1K rushers pre Marino. Their WRs weren’t as good as advertised. JMO. Dan Marino made Mark Duper and Mark Clayton. Jim Kelly had three HOF players on offense at one time in Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed and James Lofton. Imagine Marino with all that talent around him. Then Marino’s defenses were good at times, but never much when it mattered most. If Marino was on the 90s Bills, they’d own a few Super Bowl championships.

    If the Bills ever win a Super Bowl, they should give one to every prominent member who has a good relationship to the Bills organization that were on the 90-93 AFC Champs (Coach Levy, Kelly, Thomas, Smith, Reed, Gilbert, Talley, Bailey, Christie to name a few). I'd add Reich and Beebe but they got rings and Reich is the Colts HC lol

      Take from an old fuck like me, it was a glorious thing, but the good feeling only lasted a week before it all crumbled into depression. By the 3rd and 4th Superbowl, nobody wanted Buffalo to go back to the Superbowl. It's still just amazing to think about the way the league is now that the Buffalo Bills went to the Superbowl 4 straight years, I mean wow! I wish we could have won one of them.

      heydudedolfan13 Well said. And I pray you're correct with your assumption. My concern with what you say though is the fact that the ticket holders tend to dump a lot of tickets to the visitors. Like you I love the Dolphins and I hate to see the crowd split like It's been the last 15-20 years. I'm from NJ and when I see this on TV is pisses me off to no end buddy. Hopefully the youth we have develops and we start building from within. May take a few years but at this point who cares. We Just need to start hitting on picks (I really like this year's draft). We'll see what happens...
