- Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart Season 2 is missing. Cartoon Network announced Mao Mao Season 2 around two years ago, with nothing since then. Series creator Parker Simmons revealed something interesting on Twitter, giving us a new perspective on the Mao Mao Season 2 situation.
Did Cartoon Network actually cancel Mao Mao? No matter what, the best way for new episodes to premiere in the future is by showing your support! Fans have been using #FreeMaoMao on Twitter to share their love for Mao Mao, Badgerclops, and Adorabat. This show genuinely deserves a better fate than it's getting right now.

It’s a shame the show is being treated so poorly, it’s been almost a year since we got a new episode and it was easily one of their best shows.
I know right? As soon as I saw it I had waited for every episode to come out, which is something I hadn't found myself doing since Steven Universe. I loved this show so much but I hate the state that it's in. I just hope it's given it's chance that it deserves.

People watch Teen Titans Go. It had a successful theatrical movie. A successful home video movie. People didn't watch Mao Mao. It is what it is.
Warner Bros needs to end Teen Titans Go soon, because it's not good as the other long running cartoons like SpongeBob or The Simpsons.
Like I've said, it's alright. But it needs to end sometime.

@@Aego384 it does make you think. If teen titans go had never been created, we probably would've gotten a proper final season /ending to a bunch of cartoons in recent years, OK KO being among them too (one of my favorite shows - apparently was supposed to have another season?)
I also think TTG as a whole would've been more appreciated if it wasn't screwing things up for everybody else. Most people I've heard talk about it don't actually hate it with a passion like people pretend to when they meme on it, but it's run into the ground and there's only so many butt jokes a kids show can make

I still remember when I first joined the MMHOPH community. We'd regularly have streaming nights where we'd binge episodes and laugh together. I actually met one of my best friends through the show! I'm actually a bit embarrassed to say this, but it changed my life when I really needed it. And seeing how Cartoon Network just decided it's not worth their time and focusing on shit like TTG really pisses me off. CARTOON NETWORK, WE'VE BEEN WAITING ALMOST TWO YEARS FOR ANY UPDATES!!! WE'VE BEEN PATIENT, GIVE US OUR GLOWSTICK-WIELDING, REPTILE-DESTROYING, COBBLER-LOVING SON BACK!!!

Mao Mao has grew a good fanbase, I haven't seen the show on the channel for a long time, they said it's renewed for a 2nd season and they didn't announce it's gonna return. Lotso another YT user wanted Mao Mao season 2 soooo badly.
The last time mao mao aired a episode was I think was august 2020
The worst possible scenario.
Mao Mao is what Cartoon Network needed after Steven Universe, OK K.O.!, Adventure Time and many more, besides non-CN made IPs and that we had no news after the Season 2 announcement was more than enough reason to worry about.
Thankfully on Twitter there were many fans that joined the cause to free Mao Mao all around!
Honestly, Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart is an amazing show with great action and unique comedy, and we need it to come back desperately.
Mao Mao seriously deserved a lot better, and I do hope we get season 2 sometimes soon. 🤞🏻
This whole situation really sucks. This show is amazing so far and I'm sure season 2 is/was/would've been even better. Both the action and comedy are top tier and the characters are great. Yet not only has season 2 taken almost two years to release (and by the time it releases (if it does at all), even longer), the show hasn't had a single rerun since SEPTEMBER 2020!
It's also really odd to announce a season only to cancel it (if that's what happened here). As far as I'm aware that doesn't happen often. I really hope it hasn't been cancelled and the season is just in limbo or somehow still in development. When was the last time something like this even happened to a Cartoon Network show? (I'm not talking about cancellation, I mean straight up announcing more episodes only to never release them/take years to release them)
Villainous, and not cn but close enough too was announced so long before it was aired.
@@user-zl8wf6oj9e I meant new episodes of a show that was already released, not them announcing a new show but taking a while to air it. Still, it's pretty annoying when stuff like that happens.
I honestly wondered what happened to this show... It's heartbreaking to hear such news as I've been a fan of Mao Mao ever since it's debut. Sad times indeed.

You're selling the rights to your ideas and even then it's not a safe bet your entire vison will be realized

Mao Mao is still one of my fav shows. I had a feeling this would happen due to lack of reruns and promotional material. Its a shame that CN have become bias of a show that has huge potential over there popular shows

I doubt that the show will likely return after being gone for that long. Elliot From Earth, another Cartoon Network show, hasn’t gotten new episodes in a year and a lot of people either lost interest or forgotten about the show’s existence at this point. If Elliot From Earth is confirmed to be canceled, I fear that the same thing will happen to Mao Mao!
OH GOD I FORGOT ABOUT ELLIOT TOO.. when i first watched i always thought it gave me gumball vibes, and it also had good writing and made me laugh, too bad its underrated... WHY CN WHY MUST U STOP AIRING GOOD SHOWS THE COMMUNITY DOESNT WANT TTG

Mao Mao is one of those cartoons that is a different take compared to others. The story and characters are interesting and though sometimes it lacks (at times), it's still equally entertaining to watch on any given day. Hopefully, Mao Mao will get the attention and justice it needs and deserves
While I won't lie and say that Mao Mao particularly clicked with me, I also hope that this isn't the end for the show for the people who do enjoy it.

I’ve been questioning the status of the show for a while now, wondering if there’s been promotions that I’ve been missing.
Gotta say, love the Smash Bros style promo they went for, and I’m glad I’m seeing the show again. It first premiered soon after Gumball ended, and thought it was a serviceable enough substitute. Now I look at it as more than that!

This show was easily one of cartoon networks best shows in a while (in my opinion) it’s a shame that it’s been treated so poorly.
Man, it seems like a lot of shows & especially good ones with lots of potential have been getting treated poorly by companies for what feels like a decade now
I thought this show was already cancelled they haven't even aired it sense like 2018 or 19. Even though I never cared for this show that much I hope the creator finds luck if they ever make another show.
I feel like Mao Mao got lost in the shuffle of the AT&T & Discovery merger. CN has announced a lot of new projects since then Like Driftwood, Fight Girl and Unicorn Warriors Eternal which has gotten a lot of attention and I'm fearing for Mao Mao along with Elliott & prince Ivandoe. The last time CN acknowledge Mao Mao was a Social media post from March 27th 2022.
This, there is alot going on behinds the scenes, I am still gonna hope that Mao Mao and Infinity train come back.

AT&T actually spun off its stake as part of the Discovery deal so they don't own or control any media or IP anymore. WBD is now its own separate company.

Nearly 2-3 years. Possibly moving to HBO max seemed like it was on the table. But the discovery merger is going to kill scripted content and animated shows even more.
if Cartoon Network actually cancels Mao Mao then that would be the forth show that fans loved but CN pulled the plug on, OK K.O., Infinity Train, and even Apple & Onion, it's such a shame the Mao Mao hasn't gotten new episodes in over a year, lets hope the show is on hold, Free Mao Mao🦇

Man Cartoon Network really LOVES canceling shows with great potential. From the ThunderCats anime reboot, Chowder, Teen Titan(original) and etc. Mao Mao was actually funny and had great action scenes. They can’t constantly rely on Teen Titans Go forever.
Teen Titans Go is not a REAL cartoon network original animated series, it is from DC Comics. Plus, Cartoon Network cares more about Comedy series.

Mao mao gave me some adventure time vibes, if the show had more seasons then it would have an intriguing story, character development and world building.

@@mcarolina1994 Idk, but the Disney Channel in my country only airs around 4 Big City Greens episodes (2 in the afternoon and 2 in the moring/midday which are reruns of the episodes that aired the day before in the afternoon).
Here Disney Channel has variety, with Phineas and Ferb, Milo Murphy, Miraculous, Amphibia, Owl House, Gravity Falls, Ghost and Molly Mc Gee and shows for little kids in the morning.
So I don't see Big City Greens as the Spongebob of Disney ^^''

NO I NEED MAO MAO! i went through a really dark time a few years back when my boy best friend had just left me, official good bye and everything. i was so broken, a part of me left when he did, and at the time, i had newly discovered Mao Mao Legends of Pureheart, and it appeased the pain i had been feeling in my heart, it helped me laugh and get through a tough and painful time in my life
What's hilarious is CN's posted NOTHING on their social media since we've ratioed their latest posts with mao mao to grab their attention. Which is a clear sign.
It hasn't officially been cancelled yet. Until that happens, there's still hope. I feel like if it was officially cancelled, Parker Simmons would be able to talk about it more openly, but I could be wrong. How Cartoon Network is treating the show though is horrible, and this shouldn't be happening at all.
I really hope for the best for Mao Mao. I was really waiting for new content, I do hope it's not cancelled. (it probably will be but I am trying to be positive)

For some reason it’s Always the shows that have potential that end up getting some type of cancellation. I really hope Mao Mao doesn’t get this same treatment.
It's so incredibly sad. I really had hopes for this show. When it started, I was afraid it was going to get screwed like OK K.O. but it got screwed over even harder. It's not fair for the fans and crew.
It makes me wonder why the guy who was hired to be the replacement CEO of Cartoon Network got fired shortly after the Merger of WBD got announced and now we see this. CN really pushed Mao Mao to be the next big thing on the network, announcing a S2 and then nothing. Even though we are supposed to be getting a Gumball movie and a Sorta Reboot, we hear nothing just business as usual all day every day TTG. Makes you wonder what the hell is going on behind the scenes
The lack of surprise I have for this news is palpable. They treated the show like crap about a couple months in, and haven't even had the show on the network in years. I was assumed it was cancelled or on the way to be cancelled. Why do we expect anything from "Run random old movies instead of" Cartoon Network?
