- I'm continuing my ballasting today, with the yard and yard exit at South Pine being completed. South Pine is undergoing a bit of a scenery transformation right now, and I also show you ongoing work in one of the gardens.
There's also the second part of my trip to see Bob Norris' layout "Somewhere West", and it's a real treat!
Hey Andy! Nice layout tour. Your layout looks great! That CP box car looks familiar. Cheers my friend!
Thank you Collin. That car should look familiar Mate!
Neat video, Andy, thanks. I like your Ohio state flag. Bob’s layout looks great. Joe
Layout is looking good Andy 👍 I love ballisting. I've always found it therapeutic to me . Love those big Alco Century units, you know me I'm an ALCOholic 😂 . Keep highballin hogger 👉
Thank you Dale, it's getting better, I feel. I'm glad someone likes ballasting, because I don't! Keep Highballin' Hogger!
Fantastic update, Captain Andy!
With your awesome backdrop, the newly ballasted South Pine looks so realistic.
The lighted billboard looks awesome too.
Do you know who manufactured SP U33/36C on the second loco on the consist?
I’m looking forward to seeing more of MHRR actions!!
Dats
Thank you Dats, my biggest fan! I'll ask Bob who made the SP locos in the train. Notice how a familiar tune begins playing when we see the SP train?
Hi Andy, Very nice The Ohio burgee. As you might have guess, my preference is the Keystone State Flag 🙂 The South Pine yard and the Michelin sign look good. Are those cardboard fences sealed to prevent them from drawing moisture? Bob has a very nice layout, is it built in his attic? What is the overall size? What an impressive steam collection, I've always liked those Southern Pacific Cab Forwards, very unique machines. Years ago while in the USAF, I was stationed near Sacramento, I saw one of those Cab Forwards in the California State Railroad museum. Hey it's Dats music for the Southern Pacific power, very nice music selection Andy and look at that big six axle ALCO power, are they C628's or C630's? And even mid train helpers, I use to watch them on
Tehachapi Loop setup like that, very impressive. The most impressive train I've ever seen was the Espee Train Train climbing Tehachapi, I think there were 15 locomotives on that train, what a sight. Very nice video Andy and thank you for sharing it. Cheers, Rich S.
Hi Rich, a Pennsylvania state flag is on the list for purchase in the near future. I am not sure whether the cardboard fences are sealed. They are very fiddly and this is actually a second kit I got from this company. The first one was just ridiculously fragile. I'll ask Bob about the size of his layout. It's on several levels. I think Bob mentioned it was on five levels!
Good video. Enjoyed the visit to Bob Norris' layout. Just one request. Could you please turn down the background music when showing locomotives equipped with sound? Cheers!
Hi Maurice, you make a good point. Future videos will have lower music volume when sound locos are in view!
The overall size of my loft layout is 11ft square, on 5 levels. The Alco 628s and 630s are by Atlas
Thank you Bob! It's also very inspirational!
