when those 5-packs 25th Anniv GI JOE came out (2007 I think) on Toys R Us shelves, that was when I started getting back to toy collecting in general. it was suppose to be one time deal, but due to popular demand it grew to a full blown toyline. from 25th single carded figures, to movie line, to Resolute line, Pursuit of Cobra line. yeah those were fun times.
I was young when the 25th came out. My dad got me into g.i.joe, really glad he did. I had no idea it was supposed to be a one time deal. Super happy it wasn't as I got ever single 25th character I could. Those 5 packs were awesome
You're really tempting me to go down to my local comic shop. They got TONS of modern GiJoe stuff in at reasonable prices and I've been going back and forth on whether I should start collecting another line.
I only have a handful of figures, because i started buying them when they basically stopped being made, but I really like them. A lot of articulation, good sculpt, and tons of accessories made them such fun 3.75" figures.
That crimson viper looks SOO nice I think I need that even though I don’t collect gi joe anymore ..the vipers were dope ass foot soldiers cobra had a bunch of awesome ranks/classes I’ve yet to own a cobra bat but I really wished I had own one because they were so badass in the comics ... also checkout out the alley viper I thought it was a pretty sweet character as well
So I just saw another video that reviewed 1 modern viper figure and was floored at how cool it was. So searched and found this video and I'm totally baffled why more people aren't talking about how great these are, even though they're hard to get. I appreciate your upload.
i kind of have given up on hasbro,i cant really see how they would invest in a good line like the 25th,im sure they will crank our a few crappy figures in the wrong scale and then give up,if hasbro had any brains they would just setup a webshop and make international orders possible, collectors are really the only crowd left,or even better outsource it to marauders inc and let them put out figures ina slow tempo but with good quality.
I had little money when these came out. had to sell my own 82 collection in a rough patch of life. had most of it, and cobra army built. figs 8-10 and vehicles 2-4 each. it was discouraging to start back, + it did not have the 82 line complete. it seemed hard to get it all, at 45, the hunt is no fun anymore. I d like to call hasbro and order in one shot. but it would be expensive, as I like the joes to be heroes, they need their complete 83 line of vehicles, and a bigger cobra army. 1 mobat vs 4 hiss 10 x troopers, vipers, bats. like the cartoons, except the joes have 1 of each, they need to be very good. I d do dioramas - stories on the tube. good show!
Modern 4 inch gi joe is one of the best toylines ever made, but so underappreciated. Imagine NOT living in the USA, now that is a problem when collecting!!!!
Night creeper is siiick. I had one of him back in the day im pissed i lost him. The hooded and original helmet cobra commanders are sweet too.. the orange alley viper was my fav along with the crimson twins
I consider army building amassing tons and tons of the exact same figure, when it comes to clones they're usually always different figures representing the same trooper. But I do have like 12 Saga Collection 212ths... so yeah.
Wide Scope is actually Shockwave in the old line, and he's one of my favorites. The yellowing issue comes from the chemical Hasbro put in the plastic and the oils in your hands. I took care of that issue by using thick Salon 40 peroxide and a paintbrush. My 1984 Snow Job looks brand new, and hasn't yellowed since.
Oils in the hands can't be THE issue if even carded figures suffer from yellowing. Perhaps the oils may "help" in degrading the plastic, but it's just an inevitable aging and instability in the plastic. BUT... I haven't tried that Salon 40 peroxide... I'm gunna look into that! Thanks!
Jcc2224 I didn’t say it was the only issue. It’s one of the issues. I specifically said it’s the chemical additive Hasbro was required by law to put in the plastic to make them compliant with flammability safety. Handling the figures DOES matter, though. The most played with figures usually yellow the fastest. There’s even videos on this. The main culprit is the chemical bromine, though.
Darn video just made me buy some Joe's off eBay! Bought the Snake Eyes at 9:00 which is actually the City Strike Snake Eyes and not the Resolute Snake Eyes I believe.
G.I. Joe is the best toy line from Hasbro. Retro Joe's are cool and all but we have to start looking to the new stuff. Hasbro has to step up their game on Joe's because Joe fans are eager to see new figures. I went online and bought those Marauder inc figures. You should give them a try Jc. Their customisable and their is a lot of possibilities with them.
If you ever get the chance pick up the Gi Joe Revelation samurai warrior. Its one of my personal favorites and is just a good samurai figure in general.
I also loved G.I. Joe as a kid, and I still love it today. Unfortunately, I think the main reason the toys have languished in today's market is because of changing attitudes toward our military. That's a whole 'nother can o' worms that I won't get into here, but it really sucks and I hope G.I. Joe sticks around and kids will pick them up again someday. For any service members out there, thank you.
My goodness i never known how amazing most of these modern G.I. Joe figures, i am a newbie when it comes to G.I. Joe i do confess that. But daamn these are some amazing figures Hasbro made, from that crimson viper guy and the night creeper guy (tho he kinda reminds me of Jango fett) and i love that curvy sword lol
Those are some nice figures. At the end of Toy R Us, they stopped stocking GI Joe figures. So, I missed a lot of those releases. I miss going to stores and have them be reasonably priced unlike comic book shops and secondary markets.
Your list is 👌 my only difference would have been the Red ninja from retaliation in stead of one of the snake eyes and the iron granadier in place of the other snake eyes. Nothing against snake eyes he cool. Just not that big of a fan of the armor. The retaliation Red ninja design is perfect for any ninja
Does it change color like the original one, with the color changing plastic? That is still one of the best gimmick in action figure history. They should do like glow in the dark figures or something.
Hope to get resolute/city strike snake eyes sometime this year as I love the design and the resolute series. Once I do get him, I will display him battling the soon to arrive in the mail resolute cobra commander blue, neo vipers, xenomorphs, and the predators.
That night creeper was a sick two pack gi joe is just a really really funn and affordable line I’m surprised there weren’t more POC , 25th and 30th collection figures but the retaliation line was sweet. If you don’t own the retaliation 3 pack beach head you should check it out it’s a small change to the classic beach head but he comes with some nice accessories and the sculpt is good
WIDESCOPE MAH BOI IS 2ND IN THE LIST OMG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Also he costs as much as an average household electricity bill here in the Philippines, which is why I sadly never will be able to afford him...
Salute there bro. Great review. I'm a new follower to your channel. Even thou I'm more of a fan of the Vintage Era, O-Ring figures I do have some Modern Era figures I recently purchased. I have the Firefly vs. GIJOE Troopers and Tombstone vs.Duke. Keep up the good work.
@@Jcc2224 Sorry to be a stickler just giving you the heads up!Great figure nonetheless 👍 I have a small collection of modern joes and yeah , a new line is overdue.Heres to the new Snake Eyes film and possible 6 inch figs.
I’ve had so much as a kid literally got everyone I saw in stores. I have mike 20 now but now to what I’ve had back the . Over time I’ve lost them from being a careless child. Now 21 I find myself on Amazon about to spend $90 for a figure I’ve never had a chance at getting as a kid haha.
Nice figures. I did not see these figures when Retaliation movie came out. I would have loved the Storm Shadow figure with the him holding the sai. But this is the first time I hear people complain about having too many accessories -what is wrong with you? Buy action figures from any other brands except Hasbro if you don't want accessories. And I have the chrome on all the figures -Cobra Commander and the Vipers. I only have the painted silver head back in the days.
Loved the video ma dood. I never got into g.i Joe but I did see both the movies because I love action films. I had some rise of cobra figures because I loved the suit designs but I never went any further with it. It's very interesting to see how much is involved. Loved it

Me too cool year to collect
You're really tempting me to go down to my local comic shop. They got TONS of modern GiJoe stuff in at reasonable prices and I've been going back and forth on whether I should start collecting another line.
Damn, I wish my comic shop was decently sized and sold a bunch of action figures
I just starting watching one the cartons and it makes me want to get some of the toys but I want to also keep on collecting clone troopers
I'm focusing on GI Joe, so I'm not as torn on the issue. :P
I only have a handful of figures, because i started buying them when they basically stopped being made, but I really like them. A lot of articulation, good sculpt, and tons of accessories made them such fun 3.75" figures.

Neo Viper is a must buy for sure
I've been in the process of army building that Chrome red Neo Viper
I've army built all colors of the neo Vipers.

Ray Park
Also played Toad on X-men
As well as
Snake Eyes
And Darth Maul
That number 1 is cool. I got him while i was on vacation.
Night creeper is siiick. I had one of him back in the day im pissed i lost him. The hooded and original helmet cobra commanders are sweet too.. the orange alley viper was my fav along with the crimson twins
“I’m not too big on army building.” *camera gains sentience and slowly turns towards the clone trooper display*
I consider army building amassing tons and tons of the exact same figure, when it comes to clones they're usually always different figures representing the same trooper.
But I do have like 12 Saga Collection 212ths... so yeah.
Jcc2224 I was just teasing. Lol. But that’s a fair point.
Number 2, wide scope is so badass definitely one of my favourites!
I don’t know anything about GI joe, but this was a really neat look. That transformers crossover one is especially sweet.
I don't like the colors, but after his story about being a cross from Transformers, that is interesting if not the prettiest.
That Widescope looks like Shockwave except with a dog. He was swat too if I recall correctly.
the other vipers usually keep a distance from the red dudes, they are bullet magnets
Ohh yea and snake and stormshadow were the best parts of those movies that and the power suits were cool to
I love G I Joe I miss collecting them
I loove resolute snake eyes but just missed him when he came out and I tried to buy one off my friend but he refused to part with it.

Yeah it's technically City Strike from Rise of Cobra, but it's based on (and is meant to be) Resolute Snake Eyes.
The retaliation. Cobra commander. The chrome on is so god like i where gloves to poses it also the devastator cobra bat is... In my collection to

Rise of cobra Night Adder all those tattoos looked fantastic

Man, after this I feel so tempted but it's another rabbit hole to fall in
Resolute is both the easiest and hardest to complete . It just three box sets and 4 carded figures but two of the box set are so pricey
My favorites are firefly, beachead, muskrat, nemesis inforcer, stormshadow with the samurai gear, and the hiss tank driver
No one:
JC: CURLY SWOOOOOOOORRRRD
Pursuit of Cobra was my favorite line. Some of the best figures and loaded with accessories for $10.
Nightcreeper sword reminds me of a keris
Those are some nice figures. At the end of Toy R Us, they stopped stocking GI Joe figures. So, I missed a lot of those releases. I miss going to stores and have them be reasonably priced unlike comic book shops and secondary markets.
I prefer the red and black Cobra Commander from the 50th anniversary. Still a good list though.
This video inspired me to watch Resolute. Now I'm on a big spree to collect the figures from the film!

Nothing against snake eyes he cool. Just not that big of a fan of the armor. The retaliation Red ninja design is perfect for any ninja
Not to big on ARMY building, says the guy that has 500+ clones!! lol Great video/review bro👍☯️👍
Well I'm not big into buying tons of the exact same figure, that's what I meant.
I finally found an affordable Widescope. He came in today. Now I know why he is #2 on the list. He jumped way up on mine. He is great.
Maaan! Ur number 10 would b my #1 or #2. I think da modern Joe's r better dan da 80s Joe's they r more detailed n stuff!
If you need the uniform for that wide scope cosplay rothco bdus come in a crap ton of colors, and surplus stores
welcome back joe!! thank you for that video, now I can break out the JOE'S.
That will be cool for a army
I need that Viper in my life.
I love the chrome on those figures -including Cobra Commander. I only got the silver paint ones.
Nightcreeper with no hood reminds you of Kylo Ren
Can you do a gi joe series similar to droid district and clone corner.
The Zartan from Resolute is awesome too.
Does it change color like the original one, with the color changing plastic? That is still one of the best gimmick in action figure history. They should do like glow in the dark figures or something.
Love the reviews. Keep it up. Never bought anything of these lines.
Hope to get resolute/city strike snake eyes sometime this year as I love the design and the resolute series. Once I do get him, I will display him battling the soon to arrive in the mail resolute cobra commander blue, neo vipers, xenomorphs, and the predators.
Marauder gun runners....thats all you need now..also you are right, if they made 5POA GI JOE's it would go against every reason they were created lol
That night creeper was a sick two pack gi joe is just a really really funn and affordable line I’m surprised there weren’t more POC , 25th and 30th collection figures but the retaliation line was sweet. If you don’t own the retaliation 3 pack beach head you should check it out it’s a small change to the classic beach head but he comes with some nice accessories and the sculpt is good
It’s a Kris sword 🗡 for the night creeper. The kris sword is designed for cutting and stabbing. I’m sorry but I cannot be bothered LOL such a slacker
It's not being a slacker, it's just not really caring to know. It's his curly sword.
Curly sword
Mine gonna be Beachhead POC
I hope they make a gi joe movie. (And more action figures)
WIDESCOPE MAH BOI IS 2ND IN THE LIST OMG AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Also he costs as much as an average household electricity bill here in the Philippines, which is why I sadly never will be able to afford him...
I always thought that the Crimson Guard was from action force. The main bad guy troopers wore red. Action force was A re-brand of GI Joe.
That's a pretty fricking sweet top 10 ya got there...👍🏼💯✔
Hell yea. GI Joe was the BEST!!!
That techno viper looks sick .
Startin collectin joes again
Has G.I. Joes evolved at all other than those O rings that use to break???? I love Cobra Commanders crhome facemask.
I also made some custom clones which are really cool thanks for inspiring me😃

Yes!!! Give us more gi joe content!!! Great video!!!
I’m surprised shadow tracker wasn’t on this list. If you don’t have him. I’d grab him if I wear you. Cobra La was dope. 🍻
I DO have Shadow Tracker! He's super cool, but he's never been a favorite of mine.
I think that's ROC City Strike Snake Eyes. The Resolute Snake Eyes had grey pants and a green visor.
Well yeah, it is. But it's based off of and is meant to be Resolute Snake Eyes.

GI Joe Retaliation!

3:40 well GI Joe riped of the red guards from England
It looks nothing like the red guards I’m from England
No pursuit of cobra Snake Eyes?
Nah not the biggest fan of that one. I do have it, but it never wowed me like everyone else.
I have the sideshow viper. It’s the only one I got.
Have they ever made a modern W.O.R.M.S figure? He’s always been my favorite
They did! He was only a part of the subscription service though (like the Widescope I show in this video), so he's not easy to come by.
never........never ever apologize for being a "Cobra" guy.....lol.......
Given I'm a Cobra guy, GI Joe Classified has obviously yet to impress me. lol
