It's literally my dream car since I've watched 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003 and been a teenager at that time! Thank you Rob and Shmee for showing us this amazing tribute car
@sneakdog360 I am genuinely happy for you and your lovely car, it's truly amazing 👏 I went with my 7 y/o daughter( she loves Fast and furious a lot btw)to Petrolheadonism Underground and took a photo of her with the car and we were over the moon to see it in real life. She said daddy that's your dream car!
Was Craig's neighbor.. I was 6 or 7 years old and he let me and friends in our street check out his blue diablo. Trophies lined the walls of his garage man I teared up remembering. Diablo's light beige leather interior had a lemon scent.. showed us the speakers but he said they blew up because they played so loud lol!! (probably just saving our neighbors from a sound test I bet) Was many many years later, many years after even seeing the movies several times, that I realized who that was, and thought about how I've been interested in cars since.. thanks C.L. Thanks Shmee. 👍
Thanks for sharing your cool story of Craig. That's so cool . You were very lucky to have him next door. He comes across so down to earth, nice and humble too.
Very nice. I had a ride in an R34 GTR with the GTR Chief Engineer through Tokyo when I worked in Japan for Nissan a few years ago. R34 is my favourite model as a result.
Really cool. I kinda saw the birth of JDM in the early 90s at college in Tennessee. My roommate was from Osaka, Japan. He had a slammed Honda Prelude. Had big stickers and lights, after market rims etc.. a few other Japanese students had MR2 turbo, 300 ZX twin turbo and Mitsubishi Eclipse. ( back then the Yen 💴 was stong );I was like what’s up with the wide body kits, lights, stickers etc.. said this is our version of a hot rod in Japan. A few years later the movie came out. 👍🏼
Love Rob’s passion. We all have a passion for different things. It could be Vauxhall Nova’s or it could be hypercars, it doesn’t matter. Great that he’s not bastardised it chasing unusable power too!
Great car, love the F & F series when Paul was still around, it’s gotten way out of control since. You just have to love the purity when Paul was involved. Thank you Tim.
I've done a lot of things in the auto industry at one of them was work for APC The company that made most of the parts for those cars and most of the early fast and the furious movies and I still talk to one of the owners of the company is one of my very best friends Mr Brian Torres
Very special to have this real iconic car at the shmuseum. Shmee you drove it. Thats incredible. Im so jealous. Fast and furious ive seen them all. Paul Walker is a legend. RIP champ 🙏. This R34 Skyline is a piece of history.
It's not about how much they're worth it's about appreciating the car for what they are, if you could have afforded to own and kept it that's your loss. Couldn't letting imagine letting such an iconic piece of history go.
@@uhuh9595that iconic piece of history WASNT worth over $50k back then, it was not until fast and the furious and NFS BOYS made them overrated and rise in price. GTR’s were less then 50k brand new
Still plenty of R34 GTRs on the road. You can still order replacement parts from Nissan while NISMO and Mine's still have brand new parts in stock including replacement panels, bumpers, wheels and even the engine block.
Shmee150 Absolutely Incredible Video I think it's awesome that Robbie brought his Absolutely Incredible 2 fast 2 Furious GTR Tribute to the Shmuseum and let go for a ride and drive and I definitely agree that you need a JDM Legend Shmeemobile in the future

Well to be fair Tim there's always been interest in the Japanese cars of the 90s but you've got to admit that the Skyline R34 still looks beautiful even by today's standards.

Awesome tribute car, very nice indeed 👍🏼 it was great hearing the experiences especially since you've met Mr.Liebhermann who even signed the dash 😊 cool!
Just to provide some info for people, there is quite a difference between the rb25 neo which is in this car to the rb26.. head is different, larger pistons, different conrods and the r26 has ITB as well as a different bore thickness in block. Also the neo is a 2.5 litre and rb26 is a 2.6litre with solid lifters, strong valves and cams weigh less than neo. There is a lot different could carry out. Between that car and the gtr the difference is night and day. It’s a great car Robbie has, nice bloke and I hope he does the engine work it deserves.
I believe the original hero car is in a collection in Germany. Someone has a huge collection of movie cars and I believe they have the hero R34 and the hero Eleanor
Yoi could try and meet up with Sung Kang on your next USA trip Tim you could get his Moniker for the Skyline. the Skyline is fitted with HICAS, Nissan's rear wheel steering system, many Skyline owners have it removed.
You're correct buddy. It's paint on mine not a wrap though. I have thought about 'fading' it. I haven't got the water spray onto the intercooler. Purge kit next.

The Japanese voice says カード入れて下さい (ka-do irete kudasai), which is "Please insert a card", referring to the ETC card that you put into the reader underneath the dashboard for the electronic toll collection booths on the Japanese highways.
My dream project car, the R34 Skyline. I wanna put HKS T78, T04, or T51R Turbo and a Single front pipe, to make it sound like it's from Brian O'Conner's (Paul Walker) Skyline R34 from 2F2F.
I know Tim appreciates the JDM cars but as he’s stated he’s definitely more about the Euro cars. I can’t realistically see Tim buying up a GTR because I just don’t think he’s that into them. I mean that respectfully but who knows maybe he will surprise us 🤷🏻♂️
