My experiences led me to getting a PhD in Irish history. Then an attempt to learn Irish which led to me marrying a Gaelgóir. Makes my reunions very interesting 😁

A great humanitarian, He said and I agree, you ca not force 750,000 People into united Ireland, no more than you can force 750,000 nationalists to remain under the control of the Butchers apron as you say yourself. Unionists must be persuaded that they would be made welcome, enjoy full participation in political life, equality in all things and also enjoy a better standard if living in a reunited Ireland. A new constitution would be required, a new national anthym, and flag. You will not entice them with insults.

While you may say Unionists will not be discriminated against, it is not me you must convince. And you will not do that by your attitude of saying you will not change the the flag or the anthem.
