This is a demonstration of my live Caricature drawing method and Thinking process.
I might do a series of these and explain what I’m thinking about while I’m drawing quick sketch Caricatures for many different types of faces.
This is the method that I use when I’m drawing at parties.
I use a different method when I’m drawing from my home studio, but this method is how I complete a quick three or four minute Caricature souvenir when I’m in front of a live audience.

I went to your seminar at the convention and it inspired me to post two or three videos a week and grow the channel. As well as posting short videos.

I always wanted to draw but my hands are too shakey. I was never able to draw good lines. I dont know how people do that; it's so awesome

You’re welcome! You can use any type of paper for practice, but when I draw at an event, I use heavy card stock paper.

I drew the sketch with a generic, cheap, mechanical pencil. The other markers are linked in the description of the video: a zig, cartooning marker, and a Tombow brush pen.

Oh yeah, what if they say they want to be doing something in the drawing that you do not know how to draw (like playing with an abacus or something)? What do you do?
LOL, I tell them that I just draw faces at gigs. But if you really needed to draw the body, you just Google it on your phone. Thank you!

Do you ever do caricatures in color and what do you use for coloring? I was watching caricature artists at Universal the other day and they did beautiful marker caricatures and then destroyed it with some sort of paint that they sprayed to color.
I try to avoid doing color Caricatures at events. Because it’s a little difficult, and it takes too long. At Disney World, I used to use watercolors, but now I use markers and colored pencils. I mainly do color Caricatures as gifts from photos from my home studio, I use markers and colored pencils for paper drawings, and procreate for digital drawings.
What sort of paper do you use that doesn’t smear lines? I’m having that issue…

the constant moving is annoying . impossible to watch
