- It was always my dream to be a stay at home mom, but it seemed difficult to be able to afford to make it happen. With some sacrifices and hard work, I'm now thrilled to say that I get to be a SAHM with my son, Peter! Here's how we're able to afford it.

I'm 3 months pregnant, and we decided that I'll stay home with Baby Z. When did you tell your boss you're not coming back? I feel so exhausted and frustrated because I feel like my job is pushing me to be this super ambitious career woman and abandon my husband/baby. I CANNOT wait to tell them I am not coming back after the baby.

How awesome is it that you can do that! I was inspired by your video, even though I don't have any plans on being a stay-at-home-parent, financial freedom is important to all. BTW, I am also a CPA and have worked in the past with not-for-profits.
Im to be a stay at home mom too. Im 2 months and so happy to live this wonderful life.
What I'm finding difficult to evaluate is the long term effects of being a sahm on wealth building and future career prospects. It's a big decision for sure.
We took a big pay cut but its so worth it to raise your own child think about it when they are not sleeping they would be with childcare which one would have to pay for one would have minimal to no time on weekday and then the weekends maybe holidays thats it to me no amount of money is worth that
Decide what's important. Money or staying home with your baby.
Especially now when so many professional mothers are home with their children. The only difference is they have to balance work and home life with remote learning, but they are still earning a paycheck.
@@alexlewis8143 I wish I had that choice but I’m a nurse and work hard to support my child. I working on staying home by the end of this year. He will be 2 and I want to be there at all times.
Would love to see a video on how to manage being a full time SAHM and full time work from home mom!

As a stay at home mom what do you do in a day do you mainly stay in with the baby and just 1 or 2 times through the week go out to a shop or something. Thats mainly my schedule i have an older boy 11 years old i get up early see him off to school then the rest of the day i cook clean or do laundry then make sure he comes home I go out to the mall or walmart sometimes to get out of the house 2 times a week while he is in svhool. Maybe you should do a vlog on what you do in a day id love that and im sure other mothers too,

Girlfriends talking like she follows Dave 😂 we paid off 60k plus paid cash for a wedding in less than 2 years following DR. Now we have a 4 month old and I’m trying to decide whether or not to stay home .

I guess I quit the job I had before maternity leave but came back doing a little bit different work from them at a whole 10 hours a week from home on my own time. haha. So I don't consider it to be my day job anymore! During the 3.5 years I worked there I think I proved my worth enough that they were willing to work with me and basically let me work as much as I want in my new role! Sometimes I forget that I work for an employer because it's so minimal at this point. haha

I left the day job I had doing accounting but still work for that company very minimally at only 10 hours a week from home on my own time. :) So I have lots of flexibility and don't consider it to be my day job anymore!
I think it's awesome that you are able to be a stay at home mom but making TH-cam videos all day isn't a realistic way of being able to stay home not everyone can do that
I know that. But there are plenty of other money-making opportunities for SAHMs to make while their kids sleep. 😊
