I am a former Protestant who by God's grace is an Antiochan Orthodox Christian. I love you. I want to be in communion with you and pray this prayer with you. O God heal us and make us one as you are One.
@@Conan2403 There is still the very sad schism between Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox that we have not healed yet from the Council of Chalcedon in 451 AD I believe. Oh let us pray that it be healed soon! Through God's grace, when you share these prayers and ancient hymns that move our souls and transport us through space and time, back to the feet of the Word Incarnate, He is healing the schism Himself. His prayer in John 17:20-23 is being manifest, because He is bringing so many of us across the world to the true Holy Catholic Apostolic Orthodox Faith - that you, our mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters in the Middle East have preserved in face of severe, horrid persecution - this holy treasure of the true faith! And he is bonding us again together .in our hearts. Lord have mercy on us. . .
@@Conan2403 ܦܝܠܝܦܘܣEven in this modern world where distractions abound - He is so merciful and He is connecting you and I in our hearts through His prayer He uttered 2020 years ago. You Lord You can heal the schisms - you said ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be open. We trust Your promises. We believe You will heal us.
I am a deacon in the Chaldean Catholic Church and I am amazed on what Chaldean Syriac and Assyrian churches have , the hymns are the same and are so magnificent and inspiring it takes you to the heavens. This is a truly wonderful hymn and beautiful voices, God bless you my brothers and be with you forever amen.
+NoFaithy in revelation it shows exactly that is how angels are in heaven, you guys should work on project to preserve this rich spiritual inherence. Our fathers were extremely spiritual and were true saints.
I’m a deacon in the Syriac Catholic Church We share extremely beautiful and magnificent and rich music and traditions and liturgies that no other have or will ever have.
We are the same people (Chaldean, Assyrian, Syriac) and have the same language, that’s why our prayers and traditions are the same. We should unite all again into one church brother. We should strive for unity Akhona!
You are wise beyond your years..GOD Bless you my friend, you are an inspiration a light in a dark world.... You give me hope for your generation May our Lord and Saviour-YESHUA MASHIACH always bless you and give you strength.
"Introduction to Syriac: An Elementary Grammar With Readings" by Wheeler M. Thackston, professor of Near Eastern languages at Harvard, is the best for learning to read Syriac. After learning to read, you can travel to Mardin to learn the Eastern accent or Lebanon for the Western. Syriac is best approached with another Semitic language, especially Arabic, under your belt. Learn Arabic first, to get the correct pronunciation of the letters ܛܝܬ ܚܝܬ ܨܕܐ and especially ܥܐ, difficult for Americans.
After achieving of thy kingdom only one Peter will get power over death and devil. Then no one can conquer him. In this world who is powerful. From where he got wealth and power. I don't know.
Marco da Vinha It’s a hymn that was written by St. Jacob of Serugh(3rd century) who was the teacher of St. Ephrem the Syriac. It’s a very long written hymn talking about how different ranks of angels scared to look in the bright light that’s coming out of god.... it’s used in all 6 Different Syriac churches( Syriac Orthodox of Antioch, Syriac Catholic of Antioch ,Syriac Maronite Catholic of Antioch, Chaldean Catholic, old church of east, and Assyrian church of east) in the Middle East during the holy communion and after mass too.
Yes, God said to Peter that everything He made is clean and not "cursed" (porkcis not cursed). In Acts 10, God gave Peter a vision of a sheet descending from the heavens. Included in the sheet were some unclean animals. He told Peter, "What God has made clean, do not call common."
Very interesting. It is quite easy to recognize the actual Syriac origins of the Islamic Quran. The same melodic style of recitation, the same themes, in fact, the supposed name of Muhammad's tribe, "Quraish", is derived from Aramaic "qarash(a)" and means "confederation" - a reference to the confederation of Arab Christian allies of Byzantine during the Byzantine-Persian wars. See Christoph Luxenberg for more information.

@mashmooshah You are wrong. The Syriac Orthodox Church adheres the the first 3 councils. It opposes the Nestorian Heresy.
@ProjectSyriac many universities and institutions around the world teach it, i learnt it at my university

Ah, at then end of the video I saw that it is equivalent to what Latins would call the "Communio", the hymn sung during Communion of the Faithful.
Amén
This hymn is fron which mimra of Mar Jacob?
I dont know the name. But maybe someone else have the answer.
After achieving of thy kingdom only one Peter will get power over death and devil. Then no one can conquer him. In this world who is powerful. From where he got wealth and power. I don't know.
Is this a part of the Anaphora, or is it something apart from it? Is it equivalent to what Latins woud call the Offertory?
