    Another great review! Every time I look for equipment, I find you’ve got a video on it.
    Happy i found this channel!

      Thank you Randall, for the nice comment, your email and donation, very much appriciated, i tried to reply to your email, but it bounced. but thank you again!
      you will maybe also like my 2nd video about this device, where i modify it for External ref for gpsdo.
      enjoy!

    Generator gives 2 frequencies. Adjustable phase shift works fine up to 1 MHz. 5 MHz is 10% error and 20 MHz is 40% error.

      Thank you for the extra info!.. did you have a look at my External reference mod for this device?. Tony

      @@TonyAlbus Yes I saw. Very good idea. I was wondering about the TCXO generator placed inside.

    Hi I just bought one of these and new this, I got this because I want to do an alignment on my old valve radio and I'm not sure how to use this FY 6900 signal generator.
    Can you give me a little guidance.
    Thank you.

      Hi there is a link to the manual in the description and i made some more videos. th-cam.com/video/bERVWYj7Bcc/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/X_fbDlpxg_M/w-d-xo.html also there must be a QA video where i put attanuators on the output so a signal generator with the 'loud' output can be used on a receiver.. but it is not that precise. if you want a low cost rf generator for RF maybe this is something.: th-cam.com/video/d1ss48Qz6Vc/w-d-xo.html but is fragile stay below 11 Volts when you power it.

    Hello Tony, is possible to add one :1000 Prescaler to make one poor man frequency counter?

    Hello,
    I want to buy a Signal Generator to realign old radios.
    I need to have:
    * - Sweep 0 - 15 MHz,
    * - Modulation 0 - 109 MHz
    Can you tell me if FY6900-100MHz can do that?
    The FY6900 can do AM and FM Modulation up to 109 MHz.
    Thanks

      I want to know that if the FY6900 can generate signals up to 100MHz it can function as an FM Modulator up to 109MHz?

      The output fro this type of generators is to high to adjust your receiver.

      Can you please recommend an economical Signal Generator that I can do my job with? Thanks

      Yes, you can use the FY6900 and similar generators to perform radio receiver alignment. I use an Instek 2125 and a Feeltech FY3200S for this. For lower output i.e. weak signals you will need to add an external 50-ohm attenuator. Such attenuators are easily available and quite inexpensive.

    what is the max frequency for fm modulation. will it go up to 60 mhz with a 1khz modulation? thankyou

      Hello Peter, Thank you for your question, i connected it to the Marconi, AM and FM go up to 60 Mhz ... (according to Marconi 59.99917 Mhz...)
      On 60 Mhz FM it still outputs 13.4 mW with 1Khz and on AM 8.1 mW with 50% max 5v 50 Ohm
      On 50 Mhz FM it still outputs 15.7 mW with 1Khz and on AM 9.1 mW with 50% max 5v 50 Ohm
      On 40 Mhz FM it still outputs 18.0 mW with 1Khz and on AM 10.8 mW with 50% max 5v 50 Ohm
      On 30 Mhz FM it still outputs 20.1 mW with 1Khz and on AM 12.0 mW with 50% max 5v 50 Ohm
      On 21 Mhz FM it still outputs 22.5 mW with 1Khz and on AM 13.5 mW with 50% max 5v 50 Ohm
      On 20 Mhz FM it still outputs 180 mW with 1Khz and on AM 168 mW with 50% max 24v 50 Ohm **
      On 10 Mhz FM it still outputs 310 mW with 1Khz and on AM 241 mW with 50% max 24v 50 Ohm **
      On 2 Mhz FM it still outputs 470 mW with 1Khz and on AM 320 mW with 50% max 24v 50 Ohm **
      On 1 Mhz FM it still outputs 5.2 mW ?? with 1Khz and on AM 3.7 mW ?? with 50% max 24v 50 Ohm **
