- This video starts out with my wife and I being up for almost 48 hours. As you can see we were a little ""bug eyed." Juliana (then named Irina) was such a joy to be around as she is now. She was about 20 months old when we adopted her. You will see video of our approach to the orphanage as it was hidden between apartment buildings which is normal in that city. It was in August but the orphanage workers insisted on her wearing a Winter coat.
I have never seen a baby smile so much. She was such a lucky little girls to be so loved .
I love how dad records Everything and that Juliana's story is able to be shared with the world and this special little girl is still touching hearts years after her death. Thank you for sharing your an amazing family it was destiny for you to care for this baby through her short life. It would have been horrible for a child to die from cancer in an orphanage. 💔💔💔
That’s what I keep thinking. I’m so drawn to this little one and I hate that she had to die so young after fighting so hard.
Even in death she touches people.
Probably samone in her family had cancer, by her race.Probably that is that they giving an adoptation So sad.!!!
I had no idea you guys adopted her. I watched her other videos yesterday and I'm honestly in awe of you guys. Thank you so much for coming into that sweet girls life and caring for her till she took her last breath. You guys are remarkable and born to parent. May God bless you always! Yeah, they adopted all of there kids. One of them is Juliana's bio sister. Which if I'm correct they found out about while adopting Juliana.

She had a beautiful smile from the start. She didn’t even hesitate going to your open arms. I watched all the kids adoption stories tonight and saved Juliana’s for last. That smile she had at such a young age is angelic really. I know you all miss her every minute of every day. These videos are priceless...all of them.

Juliana was such a beautiful little girl. Seems like from the moment she was born she always looked so happy and had a huge smile on her face all the time no matter what she was going through or how sick she felt or how much pain she in. Just proves how special and how beautiful and precious Juliana's soul really was.
Juliana was an adorable little baby girl. She really clings to you and your wife and when she says papa and mama, it is so moving. You have been very good parents to her, supporting her through her disease all those years. You are extraordinary people, for all you have done, adopting six children from Russia. Bless you.

I watch this video a lot. It brings such joy to my heart watching baby Juliana run to her “mama” and “papa” and hug them tightly! Such a loving baby! She must’ve gotten a lot of love and attention at the orphanage. If I had gone there I would’ve adopted Juliana in a heartbeat. I can’t imagine how heartbroken the Carvers must be without her in their lives. She was such a special little girl now she’s a special little girl in Heaven.
Thank you for your kind words. Juliana (now age 10) is so "cuddly." She's our youngest and, I think, likes it that way. She's gone through cancer twice at age 5 and then at age 9. We are praying everyday that it does not return.

I'm sorry but childhood cancer is rare I certainly wouldn't say a terminal cancer diagnosis for a child is lucky. 8 times fighting cancer nothing about that is lucky.
She is absolutely adorable! You can tell you fell in love with her from the first moment you set eyes on her. I do believe God knew she was going to need a very special mommy and daddy in the future and you were chosen to be her parents. What a blessing she was.

I too was adopted at birth and I was adopted by the most wonderful parents ever who gave me the world,had it not been for them id have had a life not so wonderful,first time I spoke to my birth mother I actually thanked her for giving me up for adoption,God bless the Carver Family and may they find peace and comfort in knowing just how wonderful their adoption of Julie was

This is the most magical video on youtube. So many beautiful moments. Her beautiful smile, those itty bitty teeth, her adorable little run to the door, first hugs, her dancing, the magic of being new parents all over again. All of this is just so beautiful, for so many reasons. Especially since she has passed :( I was adopted from Paraguay, and I can imagine this is a lot like what my parents must have been like upon first meeting me. This video has filled a whole in my heart I didn't even know was there. I can't thank you enough for 1)your strength and bravery 2)letting us all see this precious moment. Jennifer Redus My Urologist was from Paraguay also. Very nice man, and Physician. His name was Dr. E. Escobar. I was saddened he retired, and then later died from a heart attack. He was a wonderful person!

I know this is an older video and she has since passed away... But she definitely knew you were supposed to be her parents. Most kids in orphanages are terrified of anyone but the care takers. She went to you like she had known you all her life.

I know nothing in this world could ease the pain you and your family feel Mr.Carver, but please know how deeply Juliana has touched me, truly. I have never seen such absolute strength and resilience. @egauthre Juliana was living in an orphanage with "special needs" kids. Juliana's eyes were crossed so, in that culture, a child with that condition is considered "special needs." We had her eyes straightened shortly after we adopted her.

You helped her and brightened her world every bit as much as she brightened your world. Never have I seen a child so happy so loving so joyful with two people so quickly! She was destined to be yours

I found Juliana's videos a year ago. Now I watch often. What an Angel!! She was not the only Angel, so were both of you. You were her Angel and I thank God you found each other and she had love, comfort and more. TY for adopting her and for sharing her sweet life w us, I hope somehow she knows how many cared for her and how inspirational she was. I hope she knows her life impacted many. Bless her, your sharing actually helped me deal w my cancer. She lives on and will continue to do so! God Bless you all
