Han Boreum is so sweet. I can already see that she'll be a great daughter-in-law. Hope her soon to be mother-in-law is someone as lovely as this lady too.
She helped in the kitchen :D Normally that does wonders with relationships between in-laws, especially here in Portugal and in Spain. A traditional Portuguese family isn't that different from these guys. Although I do wonder if they went to visit my city, it would be hard. Portuguese aren't that warm to strangers (we aren't xenophobic, by all means!). Jongmin and Boreum are sweet enough, but it took them a while to open up...It happens the same with us.
I swear the cast members meet the most fascinating locals, whether they are celebrities themselves or your next door neighbor type. I think it has to do with the personalities/characters of the locals have that made them more open to new experiences.
Indeed... This family is so open and nice! :D Of course, bringing gifts isn't that customary - or if you do here, you are an intimate relative, like a niece to an aunt or a goddaughter/godson to their godparents. Bringing flowers or alcohol is actually very welcome in Portugal. If a Korean guy opened up a bag with traditional Korean alcohol and offered it to locals, you bet the latter would welcome him with open arms.
