He had a verse on the outlawz 2nd album, on a song called rize... One of his best, but I can't listen to his solo albums.. His voice is to much... Look up the song, its on youtube.
+keyron Campbell he had a good voice, but his lyrics were subpar, i always skipped his verse on the " All Eyez On Me" song, pac shoulda did that himself
I can't remember how I stumbled on the Thug Life album back in the day but I do know that it was one of the essential CDs to always ride with me and my car stereo. Also, I always loved Big Syke's smooth delivery, clear dictation, and overall smoky voice. I loved hearing him every time he made an appearance on a 2Pac record.
Meme God It's gonna start up again with the upcoming movie and these interviews are going to get a rise in views along with people wondering what the hell Death Row isv
I got my first $20.00 by age twelve in 1994. I figured I would buy something nice for myself and save the rest. That nice gesture ended up being me going into a record store and buying my first rap album: Thug Life Vol. 1. Unlike today, 90's youth would take their cassette tapes to school and flash them to let peers know they up on the latest hip hop. Cradle to the Grave stayed on repeat in my walkman.
RIP Big Syke! You heard him at 4:14, "There wouldn't be no Thug Life album, if it wasn't for Man Man and Babes. Cause they put the bread up" Shout Out to the Richtown!!!
"As we head up out the zone stone face & it's on/ You can admire but don't look too long" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That line always brings joy to my heart #RipBigSyke
Yea Pac wanted THUGLIFE to be a movement with real dudes all over, east coast included. But the east/west beef is what got all the media attention and the rest of the bullshit.
Pac wanted thuglife as the start of a movement/label that would go around everywhere finding and promoting talent, sharing the game with everyone living that thuglife. The likes of Syke would have been solo on Makaveli label etc these guys were the shit. It all ended when the system of corruption killed 2Pac!
not really. Thug life was no more when he got out of jail. He was doing the Outlaws. Big syke was apart of both. But they had a falling out before he died. Syke wanted to do his own thing.
This interview perfectly explains why and how Tupac transformed. These dudes are real, street certified and intelligent. So thankful they got to express this perspective and share their story. The LA streets really impacted Tupac way before he signed to Death Row. Shout out to all my people in the struggle trying to make it against all odds.
Pac was way out his depth in them L.A streets ,shouldnt have tryed to mix it with the bangers he wasnt from that life its deep rooted out in the hoods past down generations of familys, pac had limited understanding of the gang culture and it cost him his life trying to be something he simply wasnt,it was all image these dudes even said it themselves, compared to the real bangers out there pac and these guys are just studio gangsters selling records.
@@bigprob8744I agree with you to a point. I think your assessment of Pac is valid. It was more of an image thing for him. However, Big Syke, Mac, and Rated R were active gang members within their respective crip neighborhoods. Although they happened to also rap, their education and upbringing was that gang lifestyle. This did not change when Pac signed with Death Row. There he was more around Bloods, as those were Suge Knight’s affiliations. Again, alot of the people that hang around Death Row headquarters were active in that lifestyle. It’s common knowledge that Suge’s failure to separate that active street lifestyle from the business he was conducting with his label is largely to blame its downfall. Former Outlaw, Napoleon, has some good interviews explaining how wild it was at Death Row back then. Napoleon himself was heavily involved in street life from his NJ neighborhood. All this is to say that wisely or unwisely, many of Pac’s closest associates (and group members) were about that life.
That whole Thug Life album went hard all 10 songs. My Favorite song on there is Bury Me A G no doubt. Big Syke was the best one outta Thug Life. R.I.P. Big Syke⚰️(1968-2016) & R.I.P. 2 da G.O.A.T. 2Pac⚱️(1971-1996) indeed✌️😎💯.

2Pac Reincarnation og Unreleased
According to Cold 187 of Above The Law...THUG LIFE was supposed to be on Ruthless Records...Including ATL in it...they featured each other on few records...Mopreme mentioned smth similar too...Wish it happened...Maybe we coulda hear 2PAC, Eazy, Treach all together on a track that way
+RuthlessRecords2010 Well Pac was suppose to sign with Ruthless originally before Bone hit the scene but Pac end up getting incinerated so Eazy end up signing BTNH instead.
RuthlessRecords2010 trech used to write for Eazy so it could be true
Man if that would’ve happened he wouldn’t have died
