HELLO EVERYONE!! Thank you for all the comments, likes and views! 🥰 I watched the movie last night and IT WAS AMAZING!!!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH. *no spoilers!* The musical numbers were phenomenal and everyone's performances were beautiful! I laughed, I cheered, I cried.. every moment was beautiful and well done. It really showcases the universal feelings of family, hope and dreams. And the celebration of the Latinx community made my heart so warm, I am so happy to see the diversity and representation on the big screen. Also, I was surprised but not upset at some of the changes made! I can totally understand why some of them might have been done but either way, I welcomed it and enjoy those new changes. I especially loved 96000 and the way it was recreated and performed at the pool! That number and Carnaval Del Barrio also got me up and dancing so much! However I do think the Blackout number up through to Pacience Y Fe was my favourite scenes from the movie. I had chills and felt so many emotions while watching. Huge applause to Olga Merediz, she truly gives her all and more into Abuela Claudia and I'm so happy she got to reprise her role and that so many more people all over the world can witness her amazing talent. She's my favourite. I'm just so happy with how the movie turned out and will be watching it repeatedly ✨❤️✨❤️ ¡No pare, sigue, sigue! PS. ALL THE CAMEOS AND EASTER EGGS WERE SO FUN TO WATCH AND CATCH!!! If you haven't heard yet, definitely watch til the end of the credits!! Hehe.
Easter egg that was crazy to me was Ninas hair transformation from straight (while she was coming back from Stanford) to it progressing to more natural as she took control of her destiny/embracing herself again
I cried the second time I watched this trailer;;; But oh my goodness. The scene with Usnavi looking out to the world while the dancers who are representing the world passing by is reflecting on to the window he looks out of, that was just so beautifully done. Also, the montages with the residents of Washington Heights, going about their day was shown well. Jon M. Chu mentioned on his twitter that some actually included real people at their jobs and I love that they included them. I'm so excited to finally watch this movie soon!
I saw this at an advanced screening and am going to another one! I then plan to watch it AGAIN by paying for a ticket - probably seeing it multiple times with my family - and it's ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!!!! It's SOOOOO good, bro. Like....I feel so seen. First generation Cuban-American and I FINALLY have a movie that is me and my family and our culture in one. GO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!
Saw it as a preview as well, without knowing anything about the show. Theaters might as well set up sing-along screening times. I don’t know how people that know the show will be able to stop themselves!👍🏾
This was great to hear. I'm seeing it tomorrow, and I've been a little worried about the fact that they removed Camila from the show. But this reassured me, and now I'm nothing but excited! Thanks!
I'm seeing it tomorrow, and I literally can't wait! I'm so excited for every single part, especially seeing Sonny (my favorite character). So far, his dynamic with Usnavi is everything I've ever wanted and more (choreography-wise).
Ahh I'm excited for you! I think Sonny was portrayed really well by Gregory Diaz IV! His chemistry with Anthony Ramos really shines through in their characters, it was great to watch :')
Idk why that put that Nina scene in the beginning, it's not there in the movie, it's later. I guess they didn't wanna spoil the real opening scene, you'll see 🥰
@@tjabrens Yes! It has some changes that I wasn't a big fan of, but it's honestly still an AMAZING film. A 10/10 if I look at it as a separate entity from the musical.
Yeahhh it seems like an odd choice for a sneak peek released only on TH-cam lmao the photograph of Nina on Kevin’s desk already gets the point across pretty well
