Easily the coolest guitar duet in the history of guitar duets. I’ve watched this almost 50 times over 2 years and it still blows my mind!! Sungha, you legend!!
I think this is the most meaningful example of what the Internet has done for this planet... We are all brothers and sisters... riding this crazy rock through space and time. Politics, religion, economics, borders, cultural biases are all just meaningless crap when you boil everything down to the basics. Here we all are from everywhere all over this crazy rock... and we are all feeling and enjoying the same experience. Thanks guys! Well done!
I am in agreement, and music absolutely proves that there can be harmony,if we just tune up together . As a guitar player I know how perfect strangers can become lifetime friends, brothers, and sisters,by tuning up together and play nice....these two show a shining example of that premise, and with Eric Clapton's music, a British Bluesman and I'm certain Clapton smiled when he heard this as much as I am smiling now, just hearing it for the first time..✌️🎸🎉💜🎵🎵🎁🎸👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✌️. Bravo Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This is the fruit of many hours of hard practice, thousands of failures, frustrations, loss of confidence. People see the fruit, and they forget about the tree. Don't post any silly, empty praises about "talent" or "genius", or being gifted. He works damn hard at his guitar. Don't idolize this guy and beat up on your own inability. Gotta send those roots deep to grow delicious fruit. Which is what i'm gonna do now, peace
Playing FAR too many hours of computer games. I picked up the guitar around 10 months ago. I have a LOT of work to reach these guys' level, but I'm thankful to them and others for inspiring me and showing me what's possible. I hope it fires you up too.
Saying someone is a genius is not empty praise. The dude is a genius and we an practice all we want but few will ever get as good as he is. I'm with you on the "not beating up ourselves" part though. He makes me want to practice more.
I rewatched this so many times. Also kind of cool to know that they have been playing together since Sungha was young. Incredible synergy. 진짜 잘했어요 둘다! 나도 그렇게 치고싶다 ㅠㅠ
People who say he's an robot or he plays without feeling should watch this. How is this playing without feeling/passion? :P He's obviously enjoying this. Just because he tends to be more restrained when under public scrutiny doesn't mean he likes playing the guitar any less or isn't passionate about it.
This kid is born to do that! Man he would be one of the greatest to ever play the instrument if he continues his work and brings it to even higher levels. THE SKY'S THE LIMIT FOR HIM! Keep it up, Sungha Jung!
Or he actually just practices a lot? I bet that if you would have the experience he gained during his life you would play (definitely diffrent) perhaps almost as good, better or somewhat worse. His quality might be deterrence or something else, but maybe he really is a 'genius'? Don't judge too quickly and just enjoy :) I'm not sure why you commented tha,t but I doubt it is enjoyable to read for anyone, nor is my comment to you.
did anyone else just smile all the way through this??as of today im not making anymore music videos on you tube after watching these bloody geniuses !!
If anyone likes or even loves acoustic guitar music, this is an absolute meltdown for your ears. Such a joy to watch and listen to an acoustic jam for the ages.

As much as I love TH-cam for discovering great talents such as these artists, it's a struggle to remain optimistic about the world we live in when I see over 200 thumb-downs and negative comments. Sungha Jung and Akihiro Tanaka will change the world (for the better) with their music.
This is my thirtieth or something youtube clip of Sungha that I have watched just for today. feel like I can listen to his guitar forever ever and ever...
Old comment I know, Eric Clapton is one of his biggest influences and idols. Please pay respect to the greats who paved the way. Also, Eric Clapton did not write the guitar for this song. Fact.
Why can't people just accept that musical taste is unique for each person... Yes, there are people who listened to this and didn't like it. Accept it and move on, they have different opinion, that's normal. Just because I was pretty much stunned by this song and insta-liked it, it doesn't mean everybody has to have it same way.
Eleven years later and I'm still watching this video with awe
This is the highest level i've ever seen in acustic guitar. It's so elevetad and virtous and beutiful. Just conected with sound... I'm speechless.
Yup it it, the highest level...
It is..but check out this song: th-cam.com/video/OKTAI-Y_a6g/w-d-xo.html
I think the Sungha Duet @ Link is a bit better, if thats even possible :D
No it's never this is just entry level...watch Chet Atkins real guitar god
No it's never this is just entry level...watch Chet Atkins real guitar god
Akihiro Tanaka's blues is so mature. Both are exceptional talents.
This is one of the best things on the Internet. I found it 2 years ago and I still feel the same way. First class!

Awesome harmonies guys, great job on the composing! It's also nice to see how much fun you two have while playing. :)

Dont brag about talent, being gifted..dude he's been playing the guitar since he was a kid..so what you've been doing when you were a kid eh? XD

This is one of the truly great guitar duo performances. Right up there with the classical Williams/Bream pieces.
最高です。
お二人とも音が太いので聞いていて凄く気持ちいいです。
自分もソロギターを弾くので非常に勉強になります。
アレンジのセンスもめっちゃ格好良いです。
I can see how great it is to have Sungha as a friend. He'll talk using his guitar.
It just doesn't get any better than this. Awesome!
As a lifelong guitar player, there is such joy listening to this, thank you both

Best rendition yet that I've heard! Great! Thank you for sharing your talents
すんばらしい
そしてかわいすぎるだろこの子ら
Sungha and Aki are best buds for sure. I've seen them perform live together and it is the same magic or more. One of those times when 2+2+10.
this is so beautiful...i hope Sungha and Akihiro would collaborate once again and do Earl Klugh's "Dance with Me"...wish wish wish
There is Eric Clapton's change the world and there is this, period.
simply amazing performance. Tanaka's technique and groove is out of this world
This is my favorite video ever.
Just makes a person smile while they're playing. It's like they're playing a game that they both win. Spectacular :)
See,Sungha was so happy when he played the guitar with Akihiro Tanaka :)
You are the real best friends ! Love this combination so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
incredible congratulations Sungha Jung and Akihiro Tanaka
They killed it!!!!!! Amazing.
Smooth as silk. Shiny as gold. So much soul.
めっちゃかっこいいですやん
Oh my... My ears will never be the same, breathtaking performance!
so cool, complementary toned guitars....really well recorded, good times
Thanks Mr Jung for share all of this free. Be safe, healthy and happy.
Is there still a song that Sungha Jung can find challenging to play? Seriously.... He's really a genius.
Or he actually just practices a lot? I bet that if you would have the experience he gained during his life you would play (definitely diffrent) perhaps almost as good, better or somewhat worse. Shut up, hater.
did anyone else just smile all the way through this??as of today im not making anymore music videos on you tube after watching these bloody geniuses !!

He uses Rumba Flamenca techniques also such as Rasgueados and Rumba basics! Wonderful ! Great cover !
wow, no words needed to describe this!
Manuel Fit i thing so too!
GREAT PLEASURE with SUNGHA § AKIHIRO duet . They show the perfect way two guitars can play .
People who say that he's a robot or that he plays without feeling should see this. How is this playing without feeling? :P He's obviously enjoying it. Just because he tends to be more restrained when under public scrutiny doesn't mean that he doesn't love playing the guitar any less.
Watching them together smiling and getting so into the music makes me so happy :) They have more than just skill, they have passion for the music.
Gorgeous!
Guter Jazz!!!! Welch eine Kostbarkeit in unseren Tagen!
This video is full of satisfaction
久しぶりに幸せな気持ちになれました!

Beautiful! I just wanna wake up tomorrow to change the world ~
I'd give anything to jam like this with Sungha ! He's the reason why i started playing guitar :)
Amazing!!!
I re-watched this for like 20 times in a row, and I still can't get enough.
in my dreams, I play like that. unreal stuff.
This is my thirtieth or something youtube clip of Sungha that I have watched just for today. feel like I can listen to his guitar forever ever and ever...

This video is summed up in one word: Perfection

I need to go practice
Incredible! Unbelievable! Awesome!
This was awesome. Eric who :)
Old comment I know, Eric Clapton is one of his biggest influences and idols. Please pay respect to the greats who paved the way. Also, Eric Clapton did not write the guitar for this song. Fact.
There's no best in sungha's videos. all his songs are so good that best can never be determined
Nice
These two kinda remind me of Depapepe =)
you know what there's still lacking...though you refresh me today...great
What did Eric Clapton have to say about this?
I can’t get enough!!! Pure joy!!
楽しんで演奏するってこーゆーことね。
And I'm getting to know Akihiro!!! Great work!!!!!
3:01 is my favorite part
Haha me too, there's something about that progression, he also does it at 1:58
Tastes sweet!!
I think Eric himself would be floored by this rendition, beautiful! Thank you for sharing your music with the world.
Asian level!
you guys played this great song in HK. love this song and hope you guys will change the world with your music
What's the unlikes all about?
Their just jealous that two types of different languages can come together and make beautiful music lol
most likely they were upside down so they mistook it
Why can't people just accept that musical taste is unique for each person... Yes, there are people who listened to this and didn't like it. Accept it and move on, they have different opinion, that's normal.
Just because I was pretty much stunned by this song and insta-liked it, it doesn't mean everybody has to have it same way.
They thought they're gonna sing.. like i did wait until the mid of the video. Lol
They Jelly
Great adaptation and interpretation, great sounding guitars, rather modern and trebly sounding guitar but also very sparkling and modern. I love it.
2:53 this is where sungha jung turns into ultra instinct
Sungha, your playing is just speechless. Your supporting backup on Tanaka's favorite song, Change the world is just amazing!!.
What was the Clapton's reaction?
Jawdropped, was last seen going into his practice room.
Shaking his head, muttering...
wow! they're like talking each other! awestruck!
Really! 99 dislikes? Who's the wise guy!
So, I keep listening with Joy,and a Huge Smile.....Thank you Thank You Thank You 🙏🙏🎵🎵🙀
Ok...slow this down and look carefully...pretty sure you'll see 2 guys...4 eyes, 2 noses, 2 mouths, 2 guitars...and 37 fingers.
Absolutely Amazing.
117 people have bad aim with their mouse cursor
KoomKoomz 220 people are upside down... or an emperor.
Lol
Maybe they read it as "Dis I Like"
Can't stop watching the fun they have it's fabulous to see and for the soul. Great guitar players.
you guys are way off....that was a maestro performance!
