- When it comes to the person we love, we always want to stay healthy and fit. But what will happen if they are sick and forget to take medication on time. We will worry, right? At the hospital, there are many patients and it is difficult to pill reminder each patient to take medication on time. Traditional ways need human efforts to pill tracker for medication on time. The digital era does not follow it and we can use the med reminder box to do that. The application of smart pill reminder is very broad and can be used by patients at home, doctors in hospitals, and in many other places. When it comes to daily pill reminder, there are many ways to med reminder him:
Show on the screen
Send notifications on email or telephone
Use the cellular application
Buzz alarm.
Use Bluetooth / Wi-Fi
Get a call
med reminder for the next treatment time while reminding the current time
We can combine ways depending on needs. To keep simple things here, we make a simple alarm pill reminder using Arduino which reminds us to take Pill 1 or 2 or 3 times a day. Sppecially for medication reminders for the elderly. The time slot can be selected using the push button. Also, this shows the date and time at pill time. We will then expand it to articles that enter the IoT project where the email or sms notification will be sent to the user. This Pill reminder can also be integrated with the patient monitoring system.
Components needed for automatic drug reminders using Arduino
Arduino Uno (we can use other Arduino boards too, such as pro mini, nano)
RTC DS3231 module.
16x2 LCD screen.
Bell
LED (any color)
Breadboard
Press the button
10k potentiometer
10k, 1k resistor
Jumper Wires
In this medicine reminder project, rtc ds3231 is interfaced through i2c protocol with arduino uno. You may additionally use rtc ic ds1307 for studying the time with arduino. Rtc ds3231 additionally has built in 32k reminiscence which may be used to keep additional facts.
Rtc module is powered via the three. 3v pin of arduino uno. A 16x2 lcd show is interfaced the usage of spi. We can also add a functionality for Snooze the ringtone for 10 minutes (not included in this project). When the user selects the desired locations by pressing the push buttons, the user input is saved and the time is taken from RTC. When the time is matched with a selected time slot, the ringtone starts to buzz. The user can stop the ring by pressing the stop button. The same process continues for the next reminder of slot machines. The complete process is indicated in the video given at the end of this arid.

It is very easy to write a program once you have thought of how to remember to take the pills. Here he will show the reminder on the screen, buzzing a ringtone and indicate it using the LED. It also has an option to select three time slots (once / twice / three times a day) and when time reaches time, start alerting the patient by buzzing the ring.

Good to see your ideas around having motors in the hand itself. I've often thought the hand should have some of the motors in the hand itself to make the most of the space and reduce power loss from cable transmission. Interesting project, will follow.

My mother is over daily Medication. She is 88 and in good health. Our problem was getting her to take her pills at the right times. We bought a MedSked for our Mom. Great Product. Mom has been using it for 7 months and hasn't missed a pill. but when i searched back of this medsked product. arduino uno software is open source software. you can edit your code free. you just need to open your project file into solidworks without hesitation. and there your file.
what about add notification on this pill reminder device ? how it is going ?
i am sure we can add broadband card and make this arduino uno with internet connectivity to give alert where you are while the time of take medication. and you know the code of notification to get med reminder. hope that helped emre
its great you can use any app on your phone to attach with arduino project but need internet connection with your arduino uno to access anywhere to get alert of med reminder
