These names are just hilarious.
Virologists. They didn't invent the name out of thin air, though. There are two genes that have been swapped in this variant. The genes are like a line of code, and two segments in that code got switched in this particular mutation-- an F for an L got switched, and an R for a T got switched. So virologists remember these FLRT changes by calling it FLiRT. It's just a mnemonic. I suppose they could have chosen FLaRT too. 😁

Both urged people to get the vaccine and Trump wants to take credit for getting the vaccine done as he puts it. It's true that Biden tried to put Federal mandates in place but states put their own in place when Trump was president including Red and Blue states. I don't see how you can blame one but not the other.

What were your symptoms? Maybe it would help to restore your gut bacteria. It helped me. My last infection had a terrible impact on my intestines 🙈 for weeks after acute infection. The acute infection didn‘t feel that bad to me but there are long lingering minor seeming symptoms that could be not that minor when lasting chronically.
Both of my granddaughters are sick age 5½ and 8. Younger one got it 1st - presented as ear infection + fever first then stomach ache and 5 days later she is feeling better. 8 year old now just got sent home from school with stomach ache and fever and bad headache.
This strain is different
I have it too. Sore throat was biggest thing for myself. Drenching sweats, bad chills, body aches, sore throat that lasted 5 days, some nausea, some cough. @@877swissmiss

Nurse's aid , fall 2020 was a nightmare, fall 2021 cake walk....fall 2022 was by far the worse out break at a facility. No mask rule, non mask wearing family member visiting started it. Entire facility population had covid expect for 6 residents. The Director still didn't have a visitor mask rule, permitted residents family to have a Christmas party at the facility while we had 60 covid cases ,all the people attended didn't wear a mask staff walking past them in full PPE.
Learned later 2 of those who were at this party were hospitalized one died from covid. Hope it was worth not wearing a mask at a party in a facility with a covid outbreak.

Two vaccines and a booster. Nothing since 2021. Then last month got I Covid. Debilitating for 2-3 weeks. Ugh. Never felt bad after vaccines
After my second, I was lying in bed, shivering and sweating, then I realised, why am I treating this like infection? It's just my immune system reacting to the vaccine. I got up, got some paracetamol in me and I was fine after. Trying to sweat out a vaccine. 😂
Probably shouldn’t have got the injection. I got Covid once I was down for a day and never had it since, I believe I got it from wearing that face mask suppressing my immune system. I have never in my life gotten any flu never and I am 51 years old.
