Gotta love Grace! She has exploded on the music scene. Some recent covers: I Kissed a Girl, The A-TEAM, Scars to Your Beautiful. Live in Vegas singing her originals and covers of X'S and O'S, ( also on her YT channel ) One and Only and more. Two days ago she was special guest of Cirque du Soleil in Vegas for One Drop for One Night performing her original song Light The Sky. She's off to London for an appearance on BGT then Austria for the opening ceremony of the Winter Special Olympics. She collaborated with Jason Mraz on a single. Hmm. Kind of out there for a co/dual, but I think Arora's soothing voice and deep lyrics would contrast perfectly with Grace's raspyness and time changes on the fly.
yet another great reaction to Grace, I've watched them all so far. Keep it up, cuz she's already got a wealth of videos out there, and they are very good. She did a cover of Ed Sheeran's A-Team in a studio session for Paste Magazine, and she's playing guitar live for the first time after learning the song in a week. And she slays it! The video has 3 million views on facebook and nearly a million on YT so far. One of the most hauntingly beautiful covers I've ever heard. When you ask who do we think Grace would be a good collaboration with, I'm quite a bit older than you guys, but all I can think is Bob Marley! Too bad he's not still around. I was lucky enough to get to see him twice before he passed. Probably the best two concerts I've ever been to. An almost mystical experience. But now we have Grace! In fact I've even speculated that, if one subscribes to the idea of reincarnation, that she could possibly be the return of Bob... This time as a 13 year old white girl. That would explain a lot... Like how in the world can she have that level of songwriting ability and her level of comfort with large audiences? Then there's her voice. There's certain similarity there, but what first made me think of that idea was watching her strumming the uke in one of her earlier home videos (Exe's and Oh's) Sure looks like that reggae skank style strumming comes very natural to her. Especially for someone who'd only been playing the uke for probably less than one year at that point. Whatever! Just speculating... Only thing I think Grace would have a hard time with (if Bob was still around) would be trying to keep up with the level of ganja those guys smoked... LOL!!
