  • Caridina logemanni is a species of dwarf shrimp described in 2014. They are endemic to Hong Kong and are only found in an incredibly small range in the region. Like most other dwarf shrimp, they feed on biofilm, algae and decaying organic matter. This family of shrimp (Atyidae) are crucial to decomposition and nutrient recycling in streams around Hong Kong. Additionally, they comprise the diet of many predators including fish and other invertebrates such as dragonfly larvae and even aquatic spiders!

    That's amazing, I really like your videos. I am breeding those shrimps at home and try to emulate the natural habitat as good as possible. do you have any informations about the Water parameters. For example PH-Levels, temperature, hardness etc. I would love to visit the natural habitat one day. Greetings from Germany :).
