The video contains necessary information about the process of marriage registration in Nepal, for foreign citizens and Non-Resident Nepali (NRN).
Documents required:
1. Document certifying that you are single and unmarried or divorced. Get this document attested by the foreign ministry before coming to Nepal. In all the cases, if there's presence of your country's Embassy or Consulate in Nepal, you must confirm with the Embassy or Consulate if they issue any document that enables you to get married in Nepal,
2. Passport or Travel document and valid Nepali visa,
3. Excerpt of marriage law of your country,
4. 4-Photo each for the bride and groom,
5. Temporary stay recommendation issued by a local government in Nepal,
Requirements:
1. You must stay at least 15 days in Nepal before filing petition for marriage registration.
2. Official Nepali translation of all the documents and legal papers - to be prepared by your Attorney.
3. Couple must be present in Person before a court.
4. Two persons witnessing the marriage registration.
Process:
Day 1: Filing petition in a district court.
Day 2: Receive marriage registration certificate subject to judge's approval of the marriage.

Your marriage celebrated in Japan is valid in Nepal. Not necessary to perform another registration.
