I fell absolutely head over heals in love with this song the first time I heard it. It was the summer of 1998, I was 14 years old, and I was just discovering that I had a true passion and love for classic disco music. The movie 54 had just came out in theaters, so I begged my mom to take me to see it, which she did. That's where I heard Lovin' Is Really My Game for the first time. 26 years later, and it is still my absolute favorite disco song of all time, and it always will be! 😁
Oh what a tune. Now where did I hear this, Wigan Casino or Blackpool Mecca. Absolutley brilliant, me and my sister would give it our all on our kitchen floor.. Loving is really my game.❤
I remember buying this as a US import single (on Tabu) BITD in London, going home, blasting it out on repeat and not coming down off the ceiling for days!
After all my years of DJing (1973-2015) and the many, many times playing this classic, this is the first time I've ever seen a video! Thank you for posting this. I'm going to check out what else you have in your VideoVault!
Wow!! You were there at the pinnacle!! What time is you must have had! I can only IMAGINE! ....and the STORIES & MEMORIES!!! I 1st heard this song when we were on a family trip at the time... There was always music around the family... From traditional "Canciones de MI Padre" musica...to Disco and Country Rock! Anyway, this song came on and my cousin, who just passed away , dad up... Grabbed me and we boogied our little butts off!! I was 11 and she was 14
@@CalTxDude It really was a great time and I'm glad I got to enjoy the time, spin the records and make people happy and dance, dance, dance! I'm also thankful I'm still around, with my memories to share. It was a magical Disco Journey!
Bellita Woods RIP had a truly distinctive voice and was the sound of the PFunk All-Stars once Brainstorm broke up. This song captured the essence of DISCO before it got commercialized and soulfully gentrified.
Yes she was, that's why I am here because I was reading the book Narada Walden wrote about Whitney and saw for years she wanted to but the drugs got in the way
I didn't realize when this song first came: it was one of the dirtiest songs ever! (translation of lyrics) "I lament the fact that I can't dance good enough to get a guy to notice me, but if this guy will look past my two left feet he will find out that my skill is I can Do The Nasty so good it'll make him SCREAM!" Every girl can't mimic the moves of a Janet Jackson video...that don't mean a girl has no other skillz. #GiveHerAChance
This group, Brainstorm, is the original artist. Betty did her version a year later, in 1978, on her "Live" album. The artist Sylvester and several others have also covered it...
This was played at Wigan Casino around 1980 to 1981. There was probably around 3 black people, and 1000 white people dancing to this. Absolutely no racial discrimination going on.!!!
Who ever would have thought back in the day we would have this disco perfection in 2021?!!
Songs like this you could burn a lot of calories just by dancing🕺🏽💃to disco music 🎶
Aerobics came much later.
AMEN HANDSOME.
