reading Aerie's endings getting married to her and having childs stills send me tears and shivers to me even nowadays, a very deep and strong story to get through... They don't do such things in nowadays games.
I agree, but one game exists, I am playing now and this is really good. It’s Pathfinder: Wrath of the righteous. Get it and see how good it is. It’s amazing. 😉 Never thought, there could be such a good game again… you must know, I loved Baldurs Gate 2 and played almost 500 hours.
Thank you for shring this!! I managed to get in love with victory wich was a really hard lesson!! It is so nice to read "my ending" again after such a long time
I totally agree, poor Viconia didn't deserve such a fate. She was one of the most complex and interesting characters in Baldur's Gate. I'm currently playing BG3 as well and have been wondering the same thing. It would be great if there were some reference or tribute to her in the game. Have you come across any mentions or Easter eggs related to her in your playthrough?
My theory is that the protagonist canon is not a romance with either Aerie or Viconia as of Baldur's Gate 3. Why? [SPOILER] Minsc mentions that Aerie becomes a new witch for him, which makes them much closer. She replaced Dynaheir in his own life. On the other hand, there is not that much evidence that they remained after, but considering that Aerie might have go to find Avariels, it would still be considered non-canon that Aerie was a canon romance for Protagonist (let's just say it's Abdel Adrian). Viconia on the other hand serves as for sure that she was not a romance option in BG2 canonically - especially that she mentions both Suldanesellar defense in her diary, and as well the Waterdeep incident that she was forced to kill all those worshipers (even the most loyal one). Also from the perspective of Baldur's Gate 2 ending, she couldn't be with Abdel, as she was poisoned after all these events by Lolth servants. That is for sure not a romance option canonically. Now my theory for Jaheira as being a canon love option is that if she wasn't romanced, it is said by her ending at the end of Throne of Bhaal that she never returned to Tethyr or Sword Coast. Yet we meet her nearby Baldur's Gate in BG3 and she can even become a companion. So basically it means that she was the love of Abdel, as they were seperated from each other for most of the time? Her love for Khalid after all these years is still present, as we can encounter a lot of information about this in her hidden cellar, but it does sound like she reconciled with it. But that's just my theory for the game, as for the other companions and their fate, I've found limited information. Mostly for Mazzy (which became a paladin according to Minsc), Keldorn that was met during all these adventures in Baldur's Gate 2, and Jan Jansen which was only mentioned by Minsc that he liked the man but not his turnips (correct me if I am not right). Also the canon party from Baldur's Gate 1 was mentioned in this case as being an Abdel Adrian, Imoen, Jaheira, Khalid, Dynaheir and Minsc. I also found Brawnen tomb being in Baldur's Gate city, but now called Branwem (but the tomb reminds of Foehammer, so it must be her). Couldn't find anything over Edwin/Edwina, Anomen, Cernd, Haer'delis, Korgan and Valygar. In case of Nalia, the only mentions of her is a firecracker merchant that we can buy a Flail of Ages from.
Seriously, in the case of a romance with the Protagonist, Viconia has to die? I want to play BG2 again, create a team of evil characters and invite Viconia for the romance, but knowing that she will be eventually poisoned... That sucks...
Hi. It is not a mod. Since the portrait photos were of poor quality, I had to sharpen them all and correct them. And only then the portraits were thrown into AI. And then it's just editing in Adobe Pro Cs6 :)
@@sonofgames Too cool. I don't know how the BG UI is programmed, but it would be awesome for the portraits to move like that, like in Planescape. Might be a real pain to program, though. It would look twenty times better than the Planescape CGI portraits, for sure!
In the span of six minutes and forty-two seconds, your work on Aerie, Jaheira and Viconia has managed to impress me *more* than the millions of dollars Larian has thrown at their interpretation of _Forgotten Realms_ elves.

I like Keldorn's animation the most - his smile make my heart warm :)
Everyone has different tastes, but Jaheira warms me up :)
You managed to put life into our heroes/heroines of the past. Astonishing.
I've neglected the canal for the last six months. But I'm back to the game and there will be more :)

Don't you sometimes get the feeling that the stories in the current games are shallow and empty? I agree with you. I also used to eat;)

So, so very well done. Thanks for this, I appreciate it a lot. Baldur's Gate has never looked so alive.
Thanks for the appreciation ;) Regards
Damn, Viconia romance has such a sad ending
I have to agree with you, extremely sad ending :(
Viconia 😢

You're welcome!!!
Wow. That was touching. Been a long time since I read those
I did a little resuscitation :) And I added something from myself.
Edwin is a sexy beast, he definitely has best the looking animation
I agree. But there is also Viconia, Jaheira and Mazzy. They look sexy too :)
I don't remember the images being animated. But then, I guess I beat the game 20 years ago.
Because there were no animated portraits. I revived them after 20 years :)
This is amazing!!
True, it's phenomenal. I always wanted to bring them to life. And artificial intelligence made it possible for me.
Poor viconia, she didn't deserved to die, im currently playing BG3 and i wonder if there is at least a citation or something for her

It's still a better ending than what they do to her in BG 3
JAN JANSEN KNOWS WHERE YOU LIVE
He will live in our memory :)

And you wrote it :) But it all sounds interesting :)
BG3's writing in regards to previous companions can be summarized with "Somehow, Sarevok has returned".
Could you do a video with all the endings from the Ascension mod?
I think I'll be recording in a while.
Hi, how did you make the heads move like that? What tool(s) did you use?
My Heritage app :)

Well, unfortunately, maybe someone created a mod that changes that. I will look :)
Looks creepy a little bit!
Oh come on, it's not that bad ;)
I didn't see Rasaad's end.
Eu não vi o final de Rasaad :(
Unfortunately, it is not there. But maybe I will.
@@sonofgames Also Dorn is missing :-(
Jaheira 🤪
Is there something wrong with her ;)?
Man, you make me hate Beamdog even more. They rake in all that money and can't do something beautiful like this. Is it a mod? If not, can it be?

This is what it was supposed to be;)
