- I'm a big fan of Disney's Epcot. I have been going since it opened in 1982. Epcot is still my favorite Disney park.
This song is from the Canada exhibit. I don't know if they still play thi song but it made such an impression on me as a kid. You go into a round room with screens all around and they play a movie with beautiful scenary to this song. I've been to Canada three times but only to Toronto, Montreal and Niagara Falls. I'd love to go to Alberta sometime. I didn't want to have any cities in this video, so it's mostly natural Canada and the Royal Tyrell Museum which is almost part of the landscape.

What is it about the Oh Canada show at Disney World? We visited there in 1996 then moved to Orlando, FL in 3 months. We lived there for a decade and had two wonderful children then moved back to Texas. Something so heart warming about the Oh Canada exhibit and this glorious song!

This song brings back so many good memories for me. I was a Walt Disney World Cast Member in 1998. I worked at the attraction "O Canada" and had a great time. Even though I've listened to this song each day while I worked there, it now bring tears of joy to my eyes and of very fond memories that have lasted since I left. I have to agree with the other comments that this is my favorite version of this song. Thank you for posting it. :)
What a wonderful experience that must have been, I was pleased to see they still have the attraction when I visited last year and even though the song is a different version it's still full of emotion.

I haven't been to EPCOT Center since 2002. We visited about 9 times from 1988 until then (from the UK). The original attractions were the best, like Horizons and Universe Of Energy, and Spaceship Earth with Walter Cronkite.
My mom used to cry while watching this at the attraction. We' re not even Canadians. She passed away some years ago, but this warms my heart. Thanks!

When I hear Anne Murray and her duet partner sing “Oh Canada”, I’m reminded of the fantastic Canadian exhibit at EPCOT years ago. I’ll never forget it and will always cherish the soothing harmonies of the theme song and enchanting cinematography of our neighbor’s country to the north. Thank you for the brief moment of joy and peace it brings to watch this TH-cam video produced years ago!
During my days in radio, the morning show on air personality would often play this track due to his visit to Epcot. The song and its arrangement would move me to tears.
When I was at the Canada exhibit, after watching the Video and listening to this song in 2011 I left the place telling myself I was gonna move to that Country. 2014 applied to become a Permanent Resident, landed here last January.

I just got back from Epcot. When I heard the new version, I was so afraid I'd never hear the original again, I asked a cast member. It took him a while to dig up the information, but here it is: "Canada, You're a Lifetime Journey" sung by John Zov and Juanice Charmaine. The original film ran from 1982 through early 2007.

I have been singing this song since 1980 when I was 10 and visited from Texas. I wanted to move to Canada just because of this song. I have the CD and listen to it when I want to song a song as loud as I can... I LOVE IT!!!
The original has the deep horns. Grew up on the original and it was my favorite.
Love this version. Finally bought it on EBAY. It was on a tinker bell childrens cd.
Took me hours to find it.

I first went to see this in the early 1980's and fell in love with Canada and yet have still not been but I still play the music and promise myself that I WILL visit someday. It is on my 'bucket list'. Just don't change things to much Disney, the song and music is truly inspirational.

I really love both versions. It's become kind of a funny joke with some of my friends, as we all randomly break out into a the chorus.
The french is so bad!!!! She can't pronounce correctly! It is typical of our country .... She is probably the same signer that did the french version of Marineland theme song in the pups on the 90th!

This made an impression on me too! I have wonderful memories of this song. I played this for my hubby & daughter, swaying & singing along like an idiot. They stared at me like I was crazy, and I don't even care:) REALLY enjoyed this!

Such a wonderful melody in the refrain that sounds likethe swooping prairies. I've never forgotten it and I've never been to Epcot.

i went with my cousins and family. we love this song. there are three people. my cousin, me, and my little brother. my cousin starts low, i follow a smidge higher, and my brother finishes with his shrill 5 year old voice. BEST FREAKING SONG EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember going to epcot and this was the most fucking annoying part tbf the homosexuin style song made me leave early n go universal instead

Ill be invading canada in just over 3 weeks! flying into Vancouver to catch a cruise to Alaska:) And I live in the home of Disney, great being able to drive 20mins to go watch shows like this. Now Look Canada, you better not be cold when I get there, its been 85 here!!! hehe
Huh, I actually don't mind the new version of the song at EPCOT right now. I thought it stayed pretty loyal to the original tune. Heck, I thought the renovation to the ride in general was welcome. Sure, it doesn't have the same mystical feeling the original had, but I enjoyed the humor in it and how it still managed to capture Canada in a good light.
Or, maybe I just need to ride it again to clarify my thoughts. :P
Epcot is awesome! It is a celebration of the richness and diversity of different cultures.
For everybody that says that this is the best version, you don’t know French. As a French Canadian, I don’t even understand the French part of this song. I was embarrassed that a version like that represented Canada's bilingualism.
Typical French pepper comment. Ever consider that maybe we’re embarrassed about the French in our country? Count yourself lucky that any French at all was used in this song.

It's just funny :) No harm but they could have at least taken a quebecois singer :) (common celine dion and many more, quebecois people rule the culture in canada so many resources it couldnt be that hard!!! :)

AGREED! the current one sucks. if they REALLY wanted to change it keep the male vocal but switch out the female vocalist for someone who could pronounce the fFrench words better (that was one of the reasons they changed it,but imo it DIDN'T need the pop treatment it has now.

Lol the geese crack me up because where I live in NW Florida there's a group of Canadian geese who flew down years ago, but they never go back even in the hot summer! They like it here and go from pond to pond and eat from the vast boggy sports fields. ( FSU and Famu ) and they live part of the time behind a Mall! They strut around like they own the place and they hold up traffic! They are cute! BEAUTIFUL SONG BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY! I saw a tiny bit of it last year at Niagara Falls. GB
@HBBabe94 neither am i. if I were an imagineer woorking on this attraction I would re-record that section of music but change that last part of the orchestral intro from C to A just so the mistake that is the current version of the song is corrected although i might have Eva re-record the female vocal track as i've *heard* the woman who did it here mispronounced a few things
Really good memories for Ann and me---taking you to Canada(both eastern and western). 1990--B.C. and Alberta (Yoho, Lake Louise, etc.); 1994--N. Brunswick, Nova Scotia, P.E.I. Our great neighbors of the North!
i lived in canada for the first 18 years of my life now living in orlando. canada yes is beautiful in parts but the whole political system government melting pot many different cultures ruins my country i was born. i served in the canadian military from when i was 16 till i moved down to US at 18. i would never choose another country to live in than the states. never mind what people think of the US it is the best country in world and americans should be pround and loud about it.

I was in Toronto a few weeks for work. Had to make a doctor's visit for a minor issue. I walked into a Healthy Clinic in the middle of a work day. Waited about 10 minutes, saw a doctor and was about in about 30 minutes. it takes a long time for me to see a cot or on "superior" US Health Plan (through my employer with a large insurance company, non-government). and there ya go.

I'm sorry this took a while for me to reply but I am a Canadian and took travel and tourism in a Canadian college so if anyone can answer this correctly it's me. Also including the fact that I've actually been there it's the royal tyrell museum. It is the oldest dinosaur exhibit although the building is quite new it's the place where the first dinosaur fossil was found as well as the first place that albertosaurus was discovered.
