I’ve had my Cameo 4 for nearly 5 yrs and just by watching the few videos I have since I found your site, I am learning a lot of new things about my wonderful machine. Thank you for your channel!
An absolute masterstroke!!! Now... Ummm... Where've you been?! Well?! Like, I don't even wanna know how much I've spent on box svgs!!! Oh no!! You did not just smile!!! Tell me I didn't just hear your lips move!!! Ya' know what? Never mind... I'm emotionally exhausted. And to think, I was soooo proud of my box collection. At one time. 20 minutes ago. (Sigh)
Pleaseplease can you do a tutorial 👍🏻🙏🏻 how to import a SVG filé intosilhouette studio and then I mean for bag pattern so Cameo 4 cut faux leather properly with the right knife/blade
hi i love your video! please tell me where can i find the star tool that you used for the differente shape? my sihouette only show me the square icon for shapes
It's a feature available in Designer Edition + or Business Edition. You have to upgrade to access it. I highly recommend getting Business Edition if it's in your budget. Wait for a sale and you can grab it for $50. It's a one-time fee!
Thank you for the video! I too have used Silhouette Cameo for years and learned about two new features I had never noticed! Thank you! I don’t know if you ever consider requests, if you do! The “score lines” that the Silhouette Cameo makes just drive me nuts being so visible. I play around with the settings and still can’t get there. Would love to see your take on it.
Thank you for the kind words! I'm not a fan of the score lines either, to be honest. But I do love video suggestions! I'll try to get one out together this week. 😊
I dislike the “score lines” also. I usually cut the pattern on ugly card stock and use that as a template for the scores - using a score board. An extra step, but I avoid those pesky cut score lines.
I'm thinking about changing from Cricut to Silhouette. But...is there any way to make score lines like Cricut does? I don't love the way the Silhouette cuts into the cardstock for scoring. I know you can set it to cut a solid line instead of the dashes. But I just want it to dent the paper, rather than cut it. ??
I think this will be a feature of the new tools. If you look in the new tools panel in Silhouette, it shows a scoring option. I think it's with the embossing tool. I'm not at my computer at the moment, so I'm going off of memory.
@@silhouettesuccess Thank you for this information. I hope that's the case. I'll keep watching videos and waiting for further confirmation of this before I take the plunge. In the meantime, I'm trying to learn the software (which I'm loving) and I am enjoying your tutorials! Thank you!
I have made score lines all along in Silhouette studio. I replaced the dotted line with a solid. I changed to a diff color. I set that color to a blade depth of say 1 and low force. I get the number of passes done and voila! One trick is go ahead and note the length and X and Y position so you can put your new score line in the exact same position. I have used this method a lot.
I just made the switch to Silhouette from Cricut for the matless cutting of cardstock. I make boxes for soap and honestly the shallow cut scoring works much better than the scoring pen with Cricut. The scores fold so much easier.
@@cyntoiabrownlong2166 This is a really good option with some materials! However, if the material is too thin, it will tear at the crease as soon as it's folded. I do use this on thick material, but it is something that has to be tested first.
What is this magic??? I’ve been trying to make a box for the last 4 hours on my own. The pieces just would not, for the love of me, weld together. I will try making it as you did after I wake up, it’s way to late to turn on the pc again 😅
I THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. I have been trying for months to get this and it finally worked. I appreciate your simplicity.

Ha ha!! I fully expect you to save at least $20 this holiday season. 🤣

What type of paper did you use?
It's Recollection brand from Michaels. It's a 12x12 paper pack, glitter ombre.
hi asking for help :) on the grid settings, I don't see an option for "Show Guides" and "Snap to Guides" is there a way to turn on this feature?
That is an upgrade feature. I believe it is in Designer Edition.
I noticed you have more selections than my basic version. There are no trapezoid selection on mine.
I think the flexi-shapes come with designer+. Might be designer.

The pieces have to overlap slightly.
@@silhouettesuccess I made it! I did it 😭 so many hours of frustration because of a little error.
I’m not even here just yet. I need to learn how to cut on the machine 1st. 😩😩😩🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
You just made me realize that I have no beginner videos. How did I miss that step??
