Lastly, it is the chemistry test where they have two main characters read lines. But it's different with different companies. When Nubsib grabbed Gene that would have been a pro thing to do as he clearly saw Gene wasn't into it and that how he could read the room. The other thing that was brought up if the actor was gay or not that actually is a very controversial topic in the LGBT+ community as there are some within the community that feel that LGBT+ actors should play roles that represent them over having straight actor take their roles. Overall, I liked the first because it was something new but I was annoyed when everything was so over-exaggerated. I understood Gene's struggle in the beginning because I was writing at the time a BL story for my fiction writing class and was struggling with somethings. My prediction for the couples is that Nubsib will like Gene but Aoy will like Nubsib while Mork will like Aoy that where I'm seeing it going.

im actually pleasantly surprised by this drama. i usually tend to only watch the ones produced by gmmtv coz they have better editing and acting than the others but this one i feel like i can give it a shot. the scenes are natural so far and Up is definitely the star of the show
I agree Up's acting is really good I was surprised...his...mannerism(?) the way he moves and hold his body is so well done... the stylist did a good job as well I love the writer look on him

If git selected with the video you have to come in the main audition studio for the 2nd round which happened to be Nubsib. Whether with the others they are new or didn't have connections sooo it was their 1st round

I think you misunderstood or maybe it was stated not that clearly, what he meant for the 10 years things is that..., It hasn't been 10 years since they graduated so it's a bit unreasonable for them to forget about each other. So I think Gene and Nubsib's age gap wouldn't be that large. As for the series, I'm not THAT into it yet but it makes me look forward to how the story will go. I like the chemistry of the main couple. And I kinda like the fact that Kao looks lighter here compared with UWMA, where he's not always smiling. And even if they're emphasizing the mainstream facts of the Thai BL industry, for fun, I think it's still interesting to actually see how the usual Thai BL comes to life from a novel and what happens behind the scenes, especially for people who are not in Thailand. Also, it may just be personal preference, but I kinda prefer Kao's chemistry with Up (Gene's actor) over Kao with Earth of UWMA (or maybe just because his the lead this time who has more screen time compared with UWMA). Anyways, looking forward for your future reactions~
Also, just to add, I also agree that I think they used too much of those zoom in suspense scenes and the sound effects. Well, it's kinda understandable because of the amount of comic relief they want to put, but I think it's a bit much for my taste

I really liked the guy who played Gene.... I started watching this series because of the Nabsib guy (You know UWMA) , that Gene guy looks adorable and I don't know if this character suits him or he's just really good at acting... He's my favorite in this entire series so far, I usually don't like extreme level sarcastic or "obvious drama scenes" but for some reason I really liked this one, also surprisingly I didn't cringed that much ... I mean I really can't take lots of stuffs... I cringe in smallest things, so I'm really looking forward to this series.
Trust me.... the bl novels that gain attention on thai wattpad-ish sites enough to get published are mostly ones with sex scenes. Also, I think they said "it hasn't been 10 years" so I don't think Gene is in his 30s.... yet.

Hi Evelyn, after seeing that your video reaction on this drama had come out I ran to watch the episode (so I could enjoy your video too!). What to say...? So far my rating is "cute but nothing extraordinary". I like the two main characters, although we have yet to see the real "chemistry" between them. I find the character of Hin, Gene's assistant, really annoying, has anyone had the same feeling? Every time he entered the scene I found myself hoping he would be off the screen soon. I can't even say why at the moment. For the rest, the plot is interesting but the story has yet to "take off"...hopefully with the next episodes it will improve. The potential is there. Like you, I don't think that hot scenes are necessary to interest the viewer but I think we are in the minority. I would like to recommend the novel "My ride, I love you" (I know you don't read but this one really deserves it) because it is one of the most interesting BL stories I've read and without any hot scene. It manages to interest and excite with the feelings of the main characters (as it should be). I was very happy because there were plans to make it into a drama but I read that for now the work is blocked due to financial problems. I suspect that because there are no hot scenes, the financiers are a bit skeptical about the result. A pity indeed.

Yes i agree, lovely writer kinda refreshing but the things that i like the most about this drama are so many scenes showing sarcastic to BL in general. Example: How many fans expected to has NC in the BL Novel when the author dont want to do it Fan services among Main Lead Couple like Nubsib and Aey. Sometimes the main lead couple is friends or completely strangers. But fans of the drama already ship them hard and expect some moments when they're together but Nubsib show how he uncomfortable about it. About the reference of Tharntype as the director is same, remember when Gene said to the director that the cast is up to him. The director compliment gene as he is so kind unlike the author he work before. Lol🤣

I love how this series is maxing out the cheesiness of BL tropes so much on purpose. The going to the toilet. The product placements. The accidentally dropping something/tripping and being caught by the love interest. The possessive top. Every main character in BL being an engineering student. Not to mention the funny sound fx that make everything so overly dramatic. It makes us realize that when overexaggerated, those BL tropes we usually don't mind when watching become annoying and problematic. All of it in the name of shading on the Thai BL industry in the most entertaining way possible.

I was 2 steps away from buying a VPN as well, but my wallet was like "It's food or shows ... pick." I hear you with the sound effects, but I find many shows do a lot in the first ep to get your attention and then slow down as the show progresses. It's almost like front loading the lightheartedness so we don't notice the pain creeping in later. I'm interested to see how they will deal with all the tropes. I have a feeling there will be really cheesy version in the "drama" and then a similar but better written one for the show. I really want to see how it displays the disparity, controversies and the progressiveness in the industry. However, I'm not putting too much hope in it. I know that it has it's own limitations in how much it can say. I'm not a fan of Hin's character right now, like you said, he's the assistant, why is he so pushy? Are they going for a friendly work thing? I'm keeping him on my watch-out-for-this-one list.

I really liked the guy who played Gene.... I started watching this series because of the Nabsib guy (You know UWMA) , that Gene guy looks adorable and I don't know if this character suits him or he's just really good at acting... He's my favorite in this entire series so far, I usually don't like extreme level sarcastic or "obvious drama scenes" but for some reason I really liked this one, also surprisingly I didn't cringed that much ... I mean I really can't take lots of stuffs... I cringe in smallest things, so I'm really looking forward to this series.
Trust me.... the bl novels that gain attention on thai wattpad-ish sites enough to get published are mostly ones with sex scenes.
Also, I think they said "it hasn't been 10 years" so I don't think Gene is in his 30s.... yet.

after seeing that your video reaction on this drama had come out I ran to watch the episode (so I could enjoy your video too!).
What to say...? So far my rating is "cute but nothing extraordinary". I like the two main characters, although we have yet to see the real "chemistry" between them. I find the character of Hin, Gene's assistant, really annoying, has anyone had the same feeling? Every time he entered the scene I found myself hoping he would be off the screen soon. I can't even say why at the moment. For the rest, the plot is interesting but the story has yet to "take off"...hopefully with the next episodes it will improve. The potential is there.
Like you, I don't think that hot scenes are necessary to interest the viewer but I think we are in the minority. I would like to recommend the novel "My ride, I love you" (I know you don't read but this one really deserves it) because it is one of the most interesting BL stories I've read and without any hot scene. It manages to interest and excite with the feelings of the main characters (as it should be). I was very happy because there were plans to make it into a drama but I read that for now the work is blocked due to financial problems. I suspect that because there are no hot scenes, the financiers are a bit skeptical about the result. A pity indeed.
@joon_e89 Obviously! There are times when hot scenes are needed and I'm not at all "against" them, but I think that lately in many works you can find scenes "put there on purpose" of which you could do without.

Fan services among Main Lead Couple like Nubsib and Aey. Sometimes the main lead couple is friends or completely strangers. But fans of the drama already ship them hard and expect some moments when they're together but Nubsib show how he uncomfortable about it.
About the reference of Tharntype as the director is same, remember when Gene said to the director that the cast is up to him. The director compliment gene as he is so kind unlike the author he work before. Lol🤣

I love how this series is maxing out the cheesiness of BL tropes so much on purpose. The going to the toilet. The product placements. The accidentally dropping something/tripping and being caught by the love interest. The possessive top. Every main character in BL being an engineering student. Not to mention the funny sound fx that make everything so overly dramatic. It makes us realize that when overexaggerated, those BL tropes we usually don't mind when watching become annoying and problematic. All of it in the name of shading on the Thai BL industry in the most entertaining way possible.

I was 2 steps away from buying a VPN as well, but my wallet was like "It's food or shows ... pick."
I hear you with the sound effects, but I find many shows do a lot in the first ep to get your attention and then slow down as the show progresses. It's almost like front loading the lightheartedness so we don't notice the pain creeping in later.
I'm interested to see how they will deal with all the tropes. I have a feeling there will be really cheesy version in the "drama" and then a similar but better written one for the show. I really want to see how it displays the disparity, controversies and the progressiveness in the industry. However, I'm not putting too much hope in it. I know that it has it's own limitations in how much it can say.
I'm not a fan of Hin's character right now, like you said, he's the assistant, why is he so pushy? Are they going for a friendly work thing? I'm keeping him on my watch-out-for-this-one list.
