Ever since I started listening to your covers my goal on the trumpet has since been to have a tone so crisp and clear like yours. Absolutely love what you’re doing please keep doing it 🙏😊
I love this arrangement and I also play this on my flugelhorn which really adds a refreshing sound. I have to ask about the area at measure 50. Love what you do sharing so much and I play along as well, but that one area caught me off guard. Keep on playing and sharing sir
Oooh, I bet this does sound nice on flugelhorn. In measure 50 I did a fall at the end of the note. I know the fall isn't notated in the score. I'm still very new to creating sheet music and still need to figure out what needs to be notated and what not.
@@thetrumpetman I really enjoy the arrangement. I've played for over 45 years and pretty much play by ear. I'll put your stuff on the computer and throw my headsets on and play along with Harmony and so forth. It's something I'm grateful that I have the ability to do that. The one setback I had when I was 49 having a full stroke with full paralysis of the right side and after a year and a half of therapy to learn to walk and run but I had to play left handed with any of my trumpets until I got the ability on the right side again. I never quit and I never will. That's why I always research other music and players such as yourself and I appreciate everything you do for others and offering the sheet music as well. Being 58 years old now I like it because I can just put the music on and enjoy every part of it. This is a video I did after my first stroke and there are a few other videos where I have used my photography and my playing has a combination to share with others. I hope you get a chance to take a look at it as my whole goal with so much I've been through physically that I love music and it keeps me stronger everyday. I started back when I was 12 years old and I never plan on quitting. th-cam.com/video/VbAGZycmbvQ/w-d-xo.html I have been known for playing long tone and very heart felt. Thank you again for sharing your music and I hope to hear some new things. If you ever want to do an arrangement with really great feelings is the song, "You'll Never Walk Alone". Again, thank you.
@@davidharrison3074 I watched the video. It was great! It's inspiring that you were able to keep on going despite the hardships you faced. I don't know that too many trumpet players would be able to keep on playing if they faced those circumstances. Keep it up!
@@thetrumpetman I'll"Never Quit" Thank you also for your great songs and shares. If you let rough times slow you down, you won't move on. Thank you again for everything you do.
hey just wondering if anyone has the piano accompaniment for that arrangement of my way, I'm playing it for performance and need the piano part edit: I already bought the trumpet score just needing the piano part for my teacher.
I can't give out the score due to copyright, but eventually this sheet music should be available for sale online. I'm lagging behind a bit in getting the sheet music published for the videos I do. When it's available for sale, I will put a link in the video description.
Rather see you playing than the sheet music. I can't really read it. I know the lines and spaces but I don't understand what the notes mean, solid, hollow, attached single, lines over, lines under, stems up, stems down, no stems. Took trumpet and piano lessons, but never caught on. I played by ear.
That's ok. One of my favorite singers can't read music, either. Here is the version of me playing it on screen: m.th-cam.com/video/-cO4bJqtI3c/w-d-xo.html
@@gabefoster1737 um... Yeah... You point these things out so that people can improve upon their abilities. Here's an idea- unless you've done this kind of thing for 20+ years keep your pie hole in the closed position. You might learn something.
@@Harlem55 Performing has been my job since as long as I can remember, the trumpet man is highly skilled. He knows that there aren’t slurs and is playing the piece how he wants to
This was one I learned by ear. When I notated the sheet music for this video, I decided to leave the slur markings out of it because I figured people would want to articulate this one to fit the words more. When I had recorded the audio, I liked slurring it to make it smoother. Honestly, some songs I notate the sheet music for I put in my slur markings, and some times I leave them out. It just depends on what I think would be best.

This is a big example of articulation issues- this was a massive slur over what are separate notes without the slur markings to be found.
