This was increadible helpful as i am moving out my google drive documents in order to use googledrive as windows office free flexible versions and needed to clear out storage space. The google drive does not have a click button to change where to download to and searching and understand this save me some time. Thanks for uploading. Maybe this problem also aplpy to moving files from dropbox too..

I got a question my PC can't handle my hard drive I created a D disk or another location to download but when I downloaded something big on it the hand drive that I mounted got bigger and bigger until my default disk went full how can I fix this issue want to get get hard of it without getting rid of the hard drive disk that I mounted I want it to not take space how can I fix it?

Someone help please, I changed the download location to my Hard drive and want to bring it back to it's original place, so it copied the files back but now when I add something on the "downloads" place like a folder called AAA, I go to the hard drive and there's a folder called "downloads" still there and the AAA shows up there too, does that mean everytime I put something I am getting a folder in SSD and Hard drive at the same time? go back to same thing he did when at location click on "reset to default" that should work

In the original location of the Downloads folder there should be a D:...
Right Click on it like you are going to change the location and select Restore Default.
When asked if you want to copy\move files select NO... or it will fail...
This will put Downloads back where it was without the files...
Now you can change Location back to D:\ like you had planned, after adding a Download folder...
Once this is done just cut and paste the actual downloads that are supposed to be there into it.

This is complete solution for it.
This requires a registry edit. Under the key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Edit these two values to reflect the path to your Downloads folder:
{374DE290-123F-4565-9164-39C4925E467B}
{7d83ee9b-2244-4e70-b1f5-5393042af1e4}
and these two values to the path to your Pictures folder:
My Pictures
{0ddd015d-b06c-45d5-8c4c-f59713854639}
Then sign out & sign back in.
