    This is beautiful! I've been there before, but it's easy to forget the feeling of awe the place brings. Your video really captured the spirit of the whole experience for me. How did you manage to get so much footage without the throngs of tourists in your shots, and were there any restrictions about flying drones in the area?

      Terence Chia thanks so much! It was such a great experience. We went on a day that looked to be horrible weather: cold, windy, and rainy, but it cleared up beautifully, and we avoided the tourists. I took the drone off from the bay and just kept my distance. It would probably be more difficult had there been more people there

    Amazing Austin! What were your export settings in premiere? Did you shoot in 4k and downgrade to 1080? Also what was your picture profile? Nice name by the way ;)

      So I exported in the native 2.35.1 4K aspect ratio. The file I uploaded to YT is a 50mbps 4K MP4. I also use a magic bullet plugin called renoiser to add a layer of "compression proofing" that I think helps the image hold up.

      @@AustinBlackvideo oh the compression proofing seems genius! So you shot in 4k then?

    • @AustinBlackvideo
      @AustinBlackvideo  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s working nicely! Yes 100% 4K

      @@AustinBlackvideo Okay! Why is the upload in 1080 then?

    So how the people in Mont Saint-Michel generally react to you flying a drone? I'm planning to go there in a couple of months .

    • @AustinBlackvideo
      @AustinBlackvideo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      scarletblaze I think you’d run into problems if there were a lot of people there. We were lucky to be there on a very very slowday

    Hey Austin the video is very good . I like to know one thing me and my wife planed to visit this place can I use my dji mavic drone here. Help me it will be very help full for us.

      Ashwin Ashwinsan it’s tough! I think it mostly depends when you go. If there are lots of people, I would have concerns flying it. Kristin and I got very lucky and went on a day when there were very few people around. I’m sorry for the non-answer, but I was very nervous about flying the drone anywhere in France not wanting to get in trouble

    Did you do any post production stabilization on the time lapse?

    • @AustinBlackvideo
      @AustinBlackvideo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but you can never remove all of the shakiness (it was a windy day for the done)

    • @josiahsteele7349
      @josiahsteele7349 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It looks super good! I need to learn how to do that cause I’ve taken some time lapses I couldn’t use because of the shakiness. Although the M2P is pretty impressive with stabilization

      It was the one thing I really wanted to do in France. It was 100% worth it! Especially considering the place was almost empty when we went (a rarity)
