INTERMEZZO FLAMENCO 14-16 MEI 2010 As a prelude to its 3rd edition, the Dutch Flamenco Biennial again organises a series of Flamenco Intermezzo concerts. The second one this year will be in the hands of Moraíto Chico, probably the most important and versatile guitarist currently active in Jerez. As a Cante accompanist, he manages to draw sounds of unparalleled beauty from his instrument. His art in the true Jerez style -- bulerías -- bears the mark of true genius. The work of this fine musician, born in 1956 and trained in a thousand battles alongside the wise men of Cante, has ferocious duende. Together with cantaor Fernando de la Morena, he will pull out all the stops in demonstrating the greatness of the jondo style in this second Intermezzo Flamenco.
