    The footpeg installation / adjustment is extremely simple and one can do it at home with basic tool set.

    Dipolog tower: There is no need to order a different sized gear rod, simply remove the bolt from the rod end elbow that is attached to the gear spindal and that elbow will come off (may need flat ended screwdriver in the split to prize open). You can then twist the elbow clockwise/anticlockwise (depending if lengthening/shortnening) and re-attach onto the gear spindal.
    Hope this helps

      @karloanttila 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. My dealer just ordered the longer gear rod at the time of new bike delivery...it's a $70 part they are giving me for free...I'll do the work myself.

    • @mrq1701
      @mrq1701 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When changing foot peg locations there is not enough adjustment in the rod. You need different rods for different peg locations. You can adjust the height of the shift lever by making rod adjustments.

    • @Mackathne
      @Mackathne 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This could mess with the positioning of the shifter couldn't it? I have the rods, but seems like something to check before you go all the way. It's not hard, so might as well try it before ordering the piece

    • @slagdemon
      @slagdemon 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@karloanttila ouch, $70? Each rod is about $10-$15 each plus shipping. That's quite a dealer markup.

      Probably too late now, but I have mine on the furthest position & I have been damn near close to dragging knee. I’m 6’2” for reference.
      I had no idea I would be able to ride so easily with sport bikers. It’s almost like an ongoing joke because I have big ass saddlebags & the furthest reach settings, but I can haul ass and drag knee if need be. I thought it was a beginner bike, but boy was I wrong 😂

    What contents does the bike come with when its new when it comes to the ergo fit?

    • @TLYRIDER
      @TLYRIDER  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The bike when you purchase new from showroom they can set it up for Extended Reach, Mid Reach or Reduced Reach which involves different kind of Handle bar, Seat and foot pegs length on both sides. I bought it used so it came with extended reach default set up ( Handlebar, Seat and Footpegs), since I am 5’7 I felt the extended reach was too far for me for a comfortable ride. So I decided to move just the foot pegs position to a reduced reach and in order to do that I just had to order the rod on one side (for gear) for $12 or so. If I want to I could switch the seat and handlebar (order those separately), but I choose not to as the extended reach seats are more comfortable than the mid reach or reduce reach and Handle bar I was not planning to fiddle around anyway.

    Nicely explained video. Thanks @TLY RIDER. My bike's present setting is at mid reach seat, short reach foot peg on both shifter and brake sides. I am 5' 7". I am comfortable in the present setting. I wanted to try out mid reach foot peg positions. As I am of the same height as you, what do you think? Will the mid reach foot pegs be comfortable for our height? My inseam length is 32 inch. .. Can you please advise if I should go for mid reach foot pegs? Thanks in advance.

    • @TLYRIDER
      @TLYRIDER  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thanks for the positive shout out. I kept the extended reach seat as is because that I believe has extra gel for the plush, since you have the extended reach seat you can move the foot peg little farther and you should be alright because the seat anyway pushes you forward a little bit. Also all the rods to do the mod is not that expensive so no harm in trying out.

      Why so?

    • @flitsies
      @flitsies 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TLYRIDER When you have a main stand it's easier to park especially when parking space is a problem, also when doing maintenance, adjusting the chain, when you need to change a tire, when you get a puncture finding where the hole is and many other reasons, but one last big reason, when that side stand fail's you got something to fall back on.
      A main stand is pretty important unless you intend waiting around for a tow truck for a simple puncture with a main stand 10 minutes and you're on your way again

      @@TLYRIDER Exactly also just working on the left hand side of the bike if something happens while out on a ride is made that much harder because they bike is leaning on that side.
      Or say you go out for a ride you park up and some nob head knocks your bike over and the stand breaks, your day is over simply because you can't park the bike anymore, with a main stand you could continue the day and fix the other stand later.
      So many reasons to have a main stand.
