Wow something as humble as an Orea becomes the belle of the ball. I am in LOVE with the flowers with the metallic pearl centers and the gold dust.,,. pretty and delicious.
+Danee Kaplan thank you Danee :D they were pretty delicious x) it took all of my will power not to eat the cracked open one when taking photos. I had to fight my brother off as well.
hi just discovered your channel loving it! can you tell me how you find is the best way to store any flowers made out of fondant (say if you want to make in advance of 5months?
I love the flowers I have those cutters but can never be bothered to use them because I find working with fondant or gumpaste difficult they look really cute will it be ok with modelling chocolate?
Those are some fancy oreos! I would call them Flower Oreos....not necessarily chocolate covered-focus. The flower seem like the focus here, since they are a work of art!
Rosie! I love your videos you're so amazing! do you need to put them in the fridge or let them dry in room temp? will they sweat after awhile if taken out of the fridge? also I've seen you use stream to erase corn starch, is there something else we can use if we don't have a steamer?
+Rosie's Dessert Spot Sorry also, can I use any coconut oil.. or does it have to be the one you mentioned? I cant seem to find that one anywhere.. if I can use normal coconut oil how much would I use? x
Hey Rosie , I bought those gold dust and I wanted to use in the liquid form for the chocolate molds and paint them with brush before putting chocolate into the molds. How can i turn the dust into liquids. With alcohol or cacao butter ? And what the ratio should be like? Can you please give me a recipe for that ?
hi +aysegul balan, I would use some vodka. In terms of recipe, I would add in a few drops at a time until I reach the consistency that I like :) I would aim for a thin paste, but nothing too watery.
Hi beauty!!! Greets from Puerto Rico. I have a question, did you use the gold lust with any alcohol when you brushed the oreo mold, or just the lust? Thanks :)
hey jenlovesjobros, copha / coconut oil set hard at room temp whereas crisco is soft and easily spreadable. it can still be used but the chocolate won't be as crisp / hard set.
I liked the pink ones; I'm always looking for new ideas for molds, you could submerge a hardened Oreo sized disk of ganache instead of Oreos, and flavoured ganache could be an idea also...
Hi, Rosie. Those look so adorable. You have done it again. I am truly impressed by your amazing talent and skill. You are probably a really amazing baker when you come up with brilliant ideas for videos. Your baking videos kinda reminds me of Cinderella, another well known story from a long time ago. See ya in the next vid, Rosie, which I bet is going to be exciting. :-)
Hi +Dacia Hernandez, does this happen even after the chocolate has sat in the fridge for half an hour? If you, you could always rub just a little vegetable shortening around the mould to help it not to stick.
The problem with me and Oreo Molds is the filing. For some reason mine don't look as smooth. What is the exact filing measurements before you put Oreo inside?
Well done!! These are gorgeous. I too am from Australia (Canberra), the etsy link you provided is from the US. Is this the one you have used, or sourced from Aus? Would love to do these for Christmas! 😊
Hi +Amy P , the only moulds I could find are located in the US unfortunately. Here is one buyer who seems to ship to Australia: www.etsy.com/au/listing/208077261/plain-oreo-chocolate-mold?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=oreo%20mold&ref=sr_gallery_25 (still a little cheaper than the rest in terms of shipping costs, but might be a little expensive all the same. Best I could find so far!)
@Rosie you're so amazing! would it be ok to not put the oreos in the fridge to dry? do they sweat later on in room temp? also I've seen you use a steamer to erase corn starch, is there an alternative if we don't have one? thank you!
Hi +kay thi, if you add in gel food colour to melted chocolate without coconut oil then the chocolate will likely begin to harden and become grainy and unworkable. But if you don't want to add in coconut chocolate, you could always just use either powdered colour or oil based colours and nothing will happen to your chocolate :)
Hey +Gluten Free Baking With Lily, I do actually :) Although I am not a fan of witter so I don't post as much as I probably should on there. twitter.com/rosiesds Does white chocolate contain gluten I wonder? You could even replace the oreos with gluten free cookies :)
I was thinking I should just make a gluten free oreo! :) I know the white chocolate I buy doesn't have any. Some warn they can have traces of wheat, it depends on the level of sensitivity a person has. If you don't mind I would love to connect with you on twitter.
hmm that could just be the quality of your fondant. Have you tried maybe mixing in half fondant and half gumpaste? Sometimes it's the pressure you add as well or if your fondant / gumpaste is too thin :) x

Hi rosie if i made the roses and they still soft after 5 hours they didn't dry what i have to do? Thats mean that the gum paste are not good enough??
Hi +Jana Ezzedine, I would leave it overnight to be sure. otherwise you can add tylose powder to the gumpaste and it will dry faster :)
Pls tell what kind of brush you used
What cutter did you use?
Those are some fancy oreos! I would call them Flower Oreos....not necessarily chocolate covered-focus. The flower seem like the focus here, since they are a work of art!
+SUGARCODER thanks for the suggestion! I will add flower into the title, you have a good point there haha.

Where did you buy them gold circle beads
+Irma562 Mart (imc562) hi, you should be able to find them at your local hobby store or even at the groceries in the baking section :)
@Rosie you're so amazing! would it be ok to not put the oreos in the fridge to dry? do they sweat later on in room temp? also I've seen you use a steamer to erase corn starch, is there an alternative if we don't have one? thank you!

you can apply anything you like, if its for a baby shower do a baby lol
Thanks
Those are pretty.
Beautiful 😍
Where do you get your edible dust?
Hi, I buy mine from a shop called Cake Deco in Melbourne. I prefer to buy the Creative Cake Decorating Australia brand.
These would be great for the people in my life who eat gluten. I saw your social media links; do you happen to have a Twitter account?
Hey +Gluten Free Baking With Lily, I do actually :) Although I am not a fan of witter so I don't post as much as I probably should on there. twitter.com/rosiesds
