My parents usually have xm Radio and play 90s rock in the car all the time, but we were selling our car and stopped paying for the xm radio a couple weeks beforehand. Consequently, we had to listen to FM radio for the first time in years. I found a station that played rock and metal, so we started listening to that. Popular Monster came on one day, but the volume was on _really_ low and my mom was on the phone so I couldn't make it out very well. I managed to catch a few lyrics and looked it up. I was surprised to find out it was by Falling In Reverse (I regrettably had avoided their music because I had heard "Asshole feat. Andy Biersack" and wasn't that impressed). It took me a few weeks to get back to Popular Monster. I had already completely forgotten everything about it lyric and melody-wise. When I finally listened to it, it was floored. By the end of the day I had literally memorized all the lyrics and my listen count was well above 50. The same thing happened the next day with The Drug In Me Is Reimagined. I honestly cannot believe I'm so (fashionably) late to discovering this band (I'm in _college_ for Pete's sake).
