- The WDR BIG BAND feat. Billy Test on piano, Rolf Marx on guitar, Johan Hörlén on altosaxophone, Ruud Breuls on trumpet and John Goldsby on bass with "Angel Eyes" by composer Matt L. Dennis. This arrangement was penned by Dave Horler, a longtime member of the WDR Big Band.
In his early years in London, Horler played for the BBC Radio Orchestra, accompanying artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Bing Crosby. In 1980, Horler joined the WERNER MÜLLER DANCE ORCHESTRA in Germany as principal trombonist, composer and arranger. The WDR BIG BAND evetually emerged from the WERNER MÜLLER DANCE ORCHESTRA, and Horler helped shape the sound and musical direction of the jazz band for almost three decades.
During this time, Horler often composed and arranged for the WDR BIG BAND in addition to playing lead trombone with his wonderful signature sound and style.
Recently, several of Horler’s compositions and arrangements have been newly produced under the musical direction of conductor Stefan Pfeifer-Galilea (WDR Studio 4 / Cologne, February 2022).

Всё на самом высоком эталонном уровне, - от ярких аранжировок и профессионализма музыкантов, до звукорежиссуры и видеомонтажа 👌👌

Wow! Really great Jazz from Cologne! Spectacular improvisations. Great camera work, great color grading. The sound couldn't be better. Question: Does WDR's excellent video and sound crew put in extra shifts for internet productions like this? Or will the fee payer later get an extra bill for such productions?
My dear friends from WDR when I say I play along to most of your songs and arrangements I meant I play along to what you play not through an App but just play my drums along with your drummer. i don't record it on the web or play my version on youtube, I play them for my own entertainment. I put it in watchlater mode and have a list that I use to better my playing. Along with Buddy Rich old tunes and many others etc. So as I said, i play along with you people for my entertainment only. Please understand I make no profit but use your app for my enjoyment. To better my drumming capabilities. Im going to be 69 yrs old and just like Jazz. I hope this explanation clears up my previous statements.. Thank you. Jim
