This looks all terribly fiddly, and somewhat yesterdays technology. When will AI technology be incorporated in Boris FX' Silhouette and Mocha applications?
Hey Peter. Temporal cohesion is always challenging. It's now relatively straight forward to get a convincing looking still. But having that look great and up to the demands of feature film VFX is far from trivial. Who knows what the future holds though...
yesterdays technology? this is the most advanced roto, tracking and painting technology in the world. It has been used in the making of Top Gun: Maverick, Dune, The Mandalorian, and more. If there were AI tools advanced enough to do what Silhouette can do, movie studios would be using those AI tools instead. But instead, they choose to use Silhouette, because any other tool on the market would be slower and would provide worse results. If you are unwilling to fiddle around with the advanced tools provided in Silhouette, then I suggest hiring a VFX artist because no AI will help you.
"we're just going to be efficient, which is another word for lazy" some absolute poetry right there my friend
Goat silhouette Ben
Thanks a lot! Any tutorial of you is a blessed
Hi Ben, how do I tell paint tool to clone RGBA channel not just RGB?
