Just bought the GT5 today and it made my Redcat Gen 8 feel like a whole new machine. So much smoother and easier to control. New to the hobby and this video was very informative. Now I know what all these settings actually do.
Just wanted to say thank you for the video! I have a trx4 sport with a new hobby wing 2 in 1 2300, with just the programming card I could not get this thing to act right with the RTR controller, this gt5 did the trick! Put some reduction gears in the tranny and motor and she’s crawling now! Thanks again!
I have it and love it. Also the receiver that it comes with. Has a gyro that can be turned on and off. And has settings to fine tune it. This really is a good transmitter and receiver.
Thanks for the video! I got a GT5 today and your vid definitely helped, big time! One thing I did notice is your transmitter doesn't beep with every click of th dial and buttons. Can you turn it off?
Can I on mine set a servo stop point meaning I turn the wheel or push a channel button and it rotate to a certain point and stop. Then hit or turn something else and return back to where it was thanks
@@ADHDNME777 Thanks, I ended up buying the GT5 used it for a while and was able to easily program channel 5 and 6 for winches. It wasnt super easy to use while trying to drive and winch. I eventually sold it and moved to the Flysky NB4
What do I have to hear for reverse gear to work. It is a scrawler from the 3D printer with an electric motor. I have the same remote control but it just doesn't work in reverse🙈
Hi the I purchased this Gt5 , I am new to the hobby, the thing is I have no idea to calibrate this GT5 to my rc crawler, it would be great I you had a video to show a basic calibration for a crowler, thanks
Can the gyro be deactivated, and how? What is the approximate range of this radio with the BS-6 receiver? Second: is this receiver waterproof or splashproof? Thank you!
What it lag is mixing function , it is good for single motor control but when come to dual motor Dig, this controller cannot manage dig function on Moa crawler.
Yeh, no problem but rather than swap the receiver between tthe cars, if you buy another receiver, and they are cheap, you can bind them both to the transmitter and it will store the setting for each car. The receivers are selected by changing the model on the transmiter display.
RCUNIVERSE.COM both crawling and also my solid axle monster trucks with the 4ws option dual servos, should be perfect,oh n also I was buying gyros for rc’s like 2wd slash, rustler n this eliminates having to buy gyros now👍
@@STEVOD313 Hey stevo how has it been for you? I just ordered one and about 12 receivers....Hope it's good lol. Was gonna go with the dx5 rugged but that extra cost for receivers was a deal breaker. And especially im just a basher and not a racer
I just bought this controller and my throttle forward and reverse best backwards and so is my steering. Is that because of something I did when I originally hooked it up. I'm still pretty new at this if anyone can help out

@@ValFPV What one are those? I saw some 4 channel ones but they were still like 15-18$ What model receiver and where are you finding them at that price? Thanks!
Yes, the FS-BS6 gyro receiver is HV rated and a 2S lipo is exactly what I use, it makes a big difference to the servo speed and torque having a higher voltage and a far higher amperage available compared to the escs anemic bec. The receivers input voltage range is 4v-8.4v so you could go even higher if you bought a Castle 10A bec and programmed it for up to 8.4v. This would also save weight over a 2S Lipo. Just make sure to go for a GT5 Tx + the FS-BS6 gyro receiver combo as there are GT5 + non gyro receiver combos out there. I really dig this radio, amazing value for money. The Latency is actually very good for this price point and the functionality is superb.. especially good is the SVC and if you have a crawler with 4WS you are in for a real treat with all the different steering modes. I dont use the abs but it is adjustable for strength, delay, duty cycle, pulse length etc. Idealy I'd love the plastics to be of a higher quality with a soft touch rubberised finish and also a little more tx steering wheel rotation... maybe another 5 deg on both sides and that would make it perfect for me. Its only a £50 radio though so I'm actually being really harsh suggesting that. Go for it, you wont be dissapointed..
Hi there, quick question what can you use channel 5 & 6 for? Can the be use to power bumper light or light bar? Than is the only thing stopping me to by that control. I was looking into the GT3C and update the firmeware myself. Thanks you !!
@pkupmanvt can i suggest watching less annoying channels that edit better than me? Might help your frustration level bro. Sorry i bothered you so much.
I have no idea about to calibrate anything reverse left right up down I have no idea would you be able to run a Full speck on this transmitter for a Crawler. Basically a full set up. I’m sure there’s more than one like me would like to hear that because not everyone knows how to use a translator a gnu to the Hobby so please can you do that so you may get more subscriber to and perhaps me
99$ for that?? for 6 channels and a shitty looking screen?? i would much MUCH rather buy a 35$ gt3b, and put the firmware on it that makes it an 8 channel receiver.. when you were reviewing that one i was thinking "thats a cool receiver if its like 40-50 bucks.. then you said 99$.. holy crap dude. i have a gt3b and a noble nb4. kinda both ends of the flysky spectrum. i love flysky as a company, they make great products that i love, but i honestly feel thats about double what they should be charging for that.. as far as your video though, it was great. very detailed. all the important parts you covered perfectly. not too long, not too short. good stuff man. im subbing.

like the way the steering is closer in then the GT3C

Will it be ok with 11.1 3s lipo xerorun r2 3300kv system
Thanks for this im used to haveing a 50% 75% & 100% TH buttons on my basic remote. This kind of replicates this for me.

I can’t figure out how to make my steering turn slower? Other than that I love it, lots if functions 👍🏻
Is this radio safe to use with a baja 1/5???
Does this radio gives a lot of trouble with time???
Would you happen to know if you can control a servo winch from ch5 or ch6? Can you make the potentiameters respond like a 2 or 3 position switch?
Ive heard you can use those channels for winches but i don't know for sure.
