I like this approach to making a bigger purchase. My bf and I do it too. We think about it and wait untill we can really afford it. Has saved us money, buyer's remorse and all in all keeps us from overconsuming.
Something else I like to do with a big purchase is, if it's still in my mind a few weeks later and I still want it and haven't forgotten about it. I'll go back to get it. I did that with a dress n I now have said dress :3 Also that dress is adorable on you
Hi as a girlie that tuned into tbs on Wednesday @8pm for a million years I absolutely adore you for loving the wizard of oz as much as I did ❤ thank you for reminding me about my love for Dorothy ❤
I never buy clothes, big tech, anything like that unless it passes the 2 month test - if I'm still thinking about it, looking at it, and needing it in 1-2 months after the initial desire, I'll plan to actually buy it - it really helps with taming the spontaneous purchases lol
Another great reason to wait a while to purchase something that's a little more expensive is that if you wait a while and you still want it just as bad as you did the first time you saw it, you're MUCH less likely to regret the purchase or buy it and not use it
I had no idea house of CB was at Nordstrom 👀 There's no location where I live and I don't trust to order online, so now I can make the drive to Nordstrom to see if they even fit me!
Well I’m glad you were able to wait to purchase the item when you had the money. But in my experience. Things in my size are all gone almost as soon as they’re put out on display. I normally have to be extremely lucky to be there at the precise moment the items is put out, which is rarely.
that’s the worst -I knew that this brand doesn’t sell out super quickly bc of the higher price point which is why I had no problem waiting a few months
I feel like those are only worth it when bloomies or Nordstrom has it on sale otherwise 600 for that dress which is not even quality material and fabric is so not worth it
it was super popular in the 20s and then again the 80s and now-so I have no doubt it’ll always come back around in our lifetimes! Don’t worry about trends
@@traceofhearts_As a Bavarian, I can tell you, it might look similarish to the untrained eye - but a Dirndl does look different. Look up Dirndls by brands like "CocoVero" or "Lodenfrey" and you'll see the difference.

I don’t know how much the dress is but as someone who could potentially sew most things I see in a magazine I can tell you there’s a point where you know and care so much about materials that the project might end up more expensive 😂 it will fit flawlessly and the quality will be great but it might cost you more 🫣
Looks like a Dirndl- German dress. Usually comes with a white blouse underneath with short puffy sleeves. super cute !!
Just looked it up and can definitelyyyy see the resemblance 😂
I have one of those for Halloween 😅
@AlissaSss23 - as a Bavarian, let me tell you: Dirndl's are not costumes. This is straight up cultural appropriation.
@@jasmink.3935 Uff 😂

100%! nothing worse than regretting a purchase that’s $$$ 😮💨
In my experience, having the purchase be something you think over and look forward to awhile makes it more satisfying when you do buy it.
I found it so cute how you covered up another person's face! Very considerate 🌷
I love that you put it into the context of financial responsibility!

Good message about not spending recklessly, you paid your bills and showed patience. Also, the dress looks gorgeous on you
This dress is beautiful !
It really is!
Yay to being responsible and still getting what you want!
house of cb sizes run suuuuper small for some reason, often! im glad you waited, very responsible:)
ugh i need to be this disciplined with literally everything in my life
The red dress in the back ground 😍
That red dress was special 😍
Fun fact the dorthy dress is actually blue and light pink. The ehite washed judy Garland out and didnt look good on screen
Wowwww I would’ve loved a blue and pink version. But nowadays ppl would say that it’d look like a gender reveal LOL
It’s such a pretty dress.

Good for you for planning and delaying gratification! That dress could be nothing else but Dorothy
TY!! 🩵🤍
“I pay my bills my bills are paid” 👏🏻
😂
That red dress you spotted was gorgeous!!
I love that one!
Responsible girl! Love it and you make the dress look so cute 💕
Beautiful. Needs a petticoat
Thats a beautiful dress
Perfect for spring and summer and can double as a quick Halloween costume last minute. Say less plus the gingham pattern is so cute.
Sizing is a game in general…never trust sizes, measurements only.
And even then!! Sometimes those size charts are NOT accurate 😩
Sis you look so fab in that dress!
Yes! If I don’t absolutely need something I at least wait a week up to a few months before buying it and it feels soooo much better
Now you just need your ruby red slippers!!!! I would die to see you pull that off because I grew up with that movie too ( I’m 43 years old. )!!!! 🥰
the blue dress is just like the one sabrina carpenter was wearing in the taste music videooo
Omgg yes

Love house of CB!!!!! I don’t blame you girl!!
Wow... I got a dress like this for Easter when I was 11....I cried because they made me wear it, but to each his own
You sound like me....😭😭 I've been hoping to get the red one out of my system 🤦🏽♀️
girl if its been a few months and you still want it 😮💨 might be a sign
GIRL YES
just found ur channel but I love you already hehe
That intro is so real😭 can't shop for the fun stuff until the bills process payment
such is life 😮💨😮💨
Loved that u blocked the lady's face
Girl you better get some ruby slippers! ❤️
I had no idea house of CB was at Nordstrom 👀 There's no location where I live and I don't trust to order online, so now I can make the drive to Nordstrom to see if they even fit me!
Make sure you wear some red shoes with it! ❤️
you already know!!
Their sizing most definitely plays games
I do like waiting some time when wanting to buy something. Let's me know i actually want it and it's not an impulse buy
It needs a good petticoat to make it fit correctly
I have one that I wear with all my vintage dresses so I’ll use that :) Ty!
There was a dress yesterday that was so cute but I couldn't get it zipped up past my tatas and I almost cried because it was the last one
Always check online!
Call her Miss Gale, it looks lovely
That dress would be so easy to sew
What is the name ??? So i can find it

It's been twelve years, and to this day, I still mourn the perfect dress I didn't purchase immediately, so I feel the same.
Nothing better than delaying gratification lol
do they have an XXS? I want that dress, I love gingham patterns
just XS I believe-I’d check the website
gorgeous
So red sparkly heels to go with the dress?❤
Xs size has always been consistent for me in house of cb maybe it’s only larger sizes that happens to
Dorothy 🎉
Good job with the smart financial decision making 😂
The fact that a small didn't fit you is crazy
I feel like those are only worth it when bloomies or Nordstrom has it on sale otherwise 600 for that dress which is not even quality material and fabric is so not worth it
That's crazy that you're a medium!! I swear sizes are so weird
it’s just a blue gingham dress 😭
so how long are we thinking the drop waist trend will last
it was super popular in the 20s and then again the 80s and now-so I have no doubt it’ll always come back around in our lifetimes! Don’t worry about trends
House of CB has some of the worst sizing inconsistency I’ve ever seen. It’s abhorrent lmao
their dresses are so cute but the sizing makes me so mad lmaoo
Agreed!
The husband is soo frustrated 😂
Sorry sir 😂
Wow sexy dress love it new friend here my friend subsdone ty❤❤❤❤
Wait,I don't understand, if your not auditioning for Oklahoma then why are you dressed like that??
Looks Like grandmas table cloth

Glad I’m not the only one to recognize that cut
ima just wear this one with a white puff sleeve blouse underneath 😂
