    Hi Paul, nice blog done in a field to show just how little tooling is needed👍👍 love it. Question do you use the roaming tariff or the residential tariff? Cheers Dave

      Thank you so much. I am on the roaming tariff. Allows you to pause it when not using it (not thatI have paused it yet 🙄

      Hi Paul one final question how long does the mount take to come from Canada?

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@grubbypaws3566 it was a couple of weeks. Just to make you aware had some importation tax to pay too.

      @Thanks Paul, just ordered it, our motorhome people have never heard of Starlink !! We decided to to this rather than have satellite TV as this is the way too go. Anyway thanks once again, I will mail your Adria from our Adria when we’re set up 👍👍😄

    Great video Paul, if only the system ran on 12v out the box. Love the magnetic solution

      Thank you. Triomount do have a 12v option on their website, but I chose not to have it as using the EcoFlow is great for us, also having the EcoFlow alternator charger. I will show you the set up when I see you at VanLove Fest.

      The Starlink Mini runs off 12v, manufacturers are already making USB-C to bayonet cables, and it's all in one, router is built-in into the antenna.

    Thanks for posting this Paul. I have gen 2 on top of my narrowboat - when I change to gen 3, will I need to align the starlink dish every time I move or does it work regardless of the direction you are pointing (given that I will have clear view of sky and no tree canopy)
    TIA

      Hi, no need to realign. Ours keeps its signal very well and on the move.

      @@pixx.adventures thank you 🙏 my builder is making me a lazy Susan mount for the dish but it will be great if we don’t have to align it every time we move.

    Have you ever been in the situation where you have had to move the angle of the van to get internet.

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@addicted2morphs36 no never. If there is a clear view above the van it gets signal every time 👍🏻

    Nice magnetic mounts, would you trust them at motorway speeds?

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The magnets are pretty strong and the unit didn’t move at all but I guess it depends on where you mount it. Ours tucks in nicely behind the skylight and pop top so probably has less wind impact. Reviews are positive on their website with regard to speeds and tests but think I will look to secure somehow as a precaution.

      @@pixx.adventuresdo the magnets line up with the same ‘ridges’ on the roof of the van? Looks like from the video at end, and it looks flat, so I assume so, but would like to make sure.

    • @pixx.adventures
      @pixx.adventures  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@iangarethreeves no, I have offset it to match the ridges, but doesn't affect the performance in anyway.
