RIP and long live Bruce McLaren (August 30, 1937 - June 2, 1970), aged 32
You will always be remembered as a legend.
Seeing Williams struggling, I hope McLaren don’t make too many big mistakes in their operations. F1 needs these historical names to stay in the sport (and do well), despite the rapidly changing landscape.
McLaren was a great racing driver. Ron Dennis built McLaren into what it is today and I think Bruce McLaren would have been blown away by the size of the business that bears his name today.
A Legendary Kiwi

Bruce Is a legend

First motor race I ever saw, Bruce & Jack at Sandown Park Melbourne, they passed & repassed the whole race . Brabham’s engine let go about 3 laps before the end.i have never forgot the smoke trail Brabhams car left.
Thank you for this Video
Bruce McLaren was a brilliant race car driver - something that I believe gets over-looked too often. He started super young - particularly at that time of F1 🏎 he started his own F1 team by his mid 20’s - was easily in the mix with Clark, Hill, Rindt & Stewart - was very quick and had good car control - adapted very fast to differing formulae - a great Sports Car driver and last but far from least - he was an extremely intelligent and well loved guy. Other drivers thought a great deal of Bruce. He was very affable - but had a temper too. Deservedly buried in St Paul’s Cathedral. RIP Bruce !! Cheers 🍻
I have been watching a lot of historic racing documentaries of late... it seems a lot of our heroes died on the track.
rest in peace bruce
Cool history lesson 😎👏
If you have not watched the Bruce Mclaren documentary. give it a watch worth your time.
New Zealand 🇳🇿
Bruce was a beat
👋🏼
Later this year will be Jochen Rindt gone 50 years ago
McLaren best with its factory
He'd hate today's McLaren
hoping for a better future for the 1200
Fitting then that the car in the intro is a McLaren car. A 2010 car by the looks of it.
Are there any Kiwi roots left in that team? Or the McLaren Family involved in anyway? From my understanding it’s mostly a Bahrain owner British team now circling the midfield :(
His daughter,- Amanda McLaren, - last year left New Zealand to take a role as brand ambassador at McLaren in Woking.
To be fair the gap from the midfield to Red Bull is evaporating.
The gap from Mercedes on the other hand seems to only grow larger.
I wonder who the 5 sad sacks are who didn't like a tribute to Bruce McLaren.
Roly Mottram
Jaffa Danielz
Big Dean Sausage Head
Slippery Bob
And Steve the fat George Michael Impersonator Collins.
The usual suspects!!!
And Ken Miles
Hallo
Was that a McLaren Speedtail in the background? It was yesterdays car you could buy from the #Forzathon shop on Forza Horizon 4 😄
Lame game, get a real sim
@@DavidGarcia-oi5nt Well.. I have. Thanks for assuming I don't 😆
He should have gave the trophy to Ken Miles
Because you watched Ford vs Ferrari and now your an expert all of a sudden
Ken Miles is the true racing driver... Bruce Mclaren will not won in Le Man 1966 if Ken Miles not wait for them... "A Three Lap Behind" so to speak and that's FACT...
First couldn't resist 😂😂
But you're not. Someone was 3 sec faster than u

Sadly most fans shit on Bruce McLaren because of that idiotic movie
Couldn't agree more
Couldn't agree more.
The write-up on the McLaren's website doesn't help - should be re-written if it's not accurate.
@@kristenelizabethdraws I didn't read that,what did they write?
@@kadasrichard No doubt McLaren sure is a legend but no amount of argument can defend the fact that Ken Miles was robbed on a broad daylight in 1966 le mans.for which Ken Miles deserves a Posthumous recognition.
