    Looks great! I’m curious as to why you used dry beans? Did you soak them or put them in dry? I’ve done dry beans before, but soaked them a few days in advance. Now I just use caned.

      with that long of a cook (8 hours) the beans will get cooked. If you use canned beans, they would be mush by the end. Cooked like this, the beans get all of the flavor and are not mush.

      I'm curious that he used beans at all, since they don't belong in chili.

      And of what is made chicken stock? Bouillon cube with water or chicken stock with water? I m french, and we have bouillon de volaille en cube or fond de volaille’ which one is used for the liquid in the white receipe please

    8 hours with the lid on…. Why not just cook it in the oven?

    I entered a chili cook off a month ago and got 3rd place. I smoked a brisket and pork shoulder and used that for the meat. It was awesome and I can’t wait to make another batch.

    Looks so good! I started making the same thing but The Missus stopped me cold when I pulled out her Le Crueset Dutch oven. I have to go get one of my own.
