Well, this was definitely different and very interesting. The green & white dish set was beautiful and the milk glass dish too! What kind of crown was that? It looks very pretty. Old buttons truly gems of long ago! Such a shame the old house is destroyed it looked like it would have been beautiful back in the day! I wonder what year it is 1800’s or so…. Love the marbles and ring you found in the beginning. It looked like a mood ring from the 70’s I had one similar if it is one😊 Have a wonderful Sunday Matt with your family tell dad hello for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
@@underthesurface4435 Good! That and keeping the Tetanus shots up to date. As a kid I got blood-poisoning from getting a Christmas tree needle in my foot! So, boots you never know…
Glad you were able to go through the old house to find some things before it gets demolished. Looks like a very old house. Nice dish set find. Happy weekend.🌺🌴
Wow, so many great things saved from that poor old house, slated for demolition. It looks like it must've been a beauty in its hay day. And of course, you know me, thank you for saving those religious pictures from the trash. Have a nice weekend & a great new week of hunting! Your friend from up Nawth, Carolyn
Awesome finds! There is always something sad when we see a old house, a old home falling apart, neglected. Yes I would save what could be saved too the various old dishes and such is a good find for sure!
Hello from the backcountry. The old houses are amazing. I would detect around them if you can. I had 17 deer in the yard a couple of days ago. Except for the spring onions the grass looks nice. Trees and flowers are blooming. Stay safe say hello to the family for me.
Good morning Matt! Under the Surface and even Above, there are beautiful finds to be rescued. It’s unfortunate to see homes abandoned and left to become tear-downs! This home and many others were once so full of life! You were able to remove beautiful items..if those buttons were able to talk! Very nice video this week! Stay well and warm out there! ~ Karin
House tour was amazing. You did great in finding some items above the surface. Is it possible to go back with the metal detector to search the grounds?
Fascinating video today Matt. Wow. I feel sorry for that old house. Looks like it would have been so special 50 years ago. I wonder what stories it could tell? I hope there was happiness there. Thanks.
Hello! NJ! Glad you found some marbles. The trip to the old house was wonderful. Super finds especially the buttons. Thanks for the interesting video. Suzy
Hi Matt. You should check inside that old piano, both under the top lid and the tuner access panel underneath (where the bench would go). You’d be surprised what people hide there, including coin stashes & jewelry.
So fascinating and somewhat sad seeing the old property. You found some lovely things. I really like the colourful bowls and plates. Thank you Matt for another great video. Have a good week ahead, cheers.
Hi Matt, it's your neighbor from Delaware! Love your video this week. I've done some abandoned house explorations (never alone) for soon-to-be teardowns. It always makes me sad to see beautiful original wood parquet floors, winding stair rails and ornate trim destined for demolition. I too have recovered some goodies like a cast iron door bell, cast iron American eagle and, in one attic, a 1920's unopened box of porcelain Ball jar seals. The items in that garage! That wood cabinet with glass doors! My heart! I'd love to see more old house explorations if you do them. Mighty interesting. Thanks so much, see you next week ☺️
That's the Kane house isn't it? The farmer that was where "Middletown Walk" is wanted me to detect the fields but covid happened lol also wanted me to do around the house there, supposedly a car buried near it? Sad that home was left to decay like that
It sure is, I have seen several people detect the property, i have not. I do walk throughs , it has so much character but it is a bit dangerous. My gym is directly across the street from it and I have returned special pieces back to the grandson of Mrs. Kane , like her original confirmation certificate from 1911. Not sure how much time the building has left.
@underthesurface4435 super sad about the condition, always wanted to explore it though. If ya go again, hit me up. Can't really swing atm due to torn rotator cuff, so looking to do other things lol I have an abandoned house + 300 acres permission in VT! A little far to go frequently 🤣
Hey Matt it’s been a long time for me I’m catching up on your videos. Wow such a beautiful old house you found tons of great things. So sad someone croaked and what remains of their lives just is left mouldering. You’ll give that lovely milk glass and bowls cups a new home I’m sure. Curious what you did with the old mail box did you keep it and will you make it into a reciepent of your kids Santa Clause letter? Rust is in style now you could probably bang it back out into shape and sale it at an antique store lol.
Fantastic video, Matt!!! I love the old house as kids we would do that. I remember getting into trouble, though. You found some really nice stuff. That cabinet really would've been nice if it was in good condition.
Me too Nilsa, I did research the original family. The road was named after them, original farmers in the town , house was built in 1880’s, still a grandson alive.
the footed compote you picked up that is white milk glass, was gotten by trading in S and H green stamps. That last picture with the needles and the red bottle, diabetic.
Helllloooo from Ioooowwwwaaaa, yayyyy you found marbles. The green one was pretty. Did it make it in the skull head?? The abandon house was sad. Seeing the books left behind was heartbreaking. I love reading. Those dishes were cool. Great video, thanks for sharing. Have a great next week.
That was a bit intense rat potential scary, nice dishes though. The old white flower delivery bowls. You know a lot of the Royal Copley was used for flower deliveries. See you next week.
This is a score. True archeological find . Look by mantles ..they used to have hidden panels built in . I found coins in my fireplace in side hearth area .my first house was built 1905

Again… The old house!!! Love the crackling paint and wood. I’m not sure I’d be without gloves in there, though.
The bowls are lovely!!
Had one glove on this time, smart move

It is sad, but I do enjoy exploring the property.
I loved looking in old house, you found some treasures. Maybe you can explore more old homes that was fantastic ❤😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I loved it too, I’m definitely going back to this one. Thanks Brenda!

Well thank you!, nice complement, glad you enjoy them!

Thanks Denise, i have seen a few people hit the grounds already with a detector but still a possibility
Oh my gosh! I sure hope they will salvage the architectural elements of that old house. It's so sad to see a piece of history demolished. 😢
Agreed Diane.

Nice to see some marbles! That house was probably a lovely home for a family years ago! Why the list of vehicles from the 60’s???
Great question, I’m guessing the old owner was involved in restoring , maybe parts, looked like he was into aviation, maybe an engine mechanic?
