@@josephdallas5705 Semantics my friend. I was just repeating what several vocal coaches/teachers reacting to it called it. It was definitely impressive for a 16 year old. But they are all uniquely impressive, wouldn't you agree?
All the girls sounded so amazing. Rami and Pharita hitting high notes, maknae line Chiquita and Rora so smooth, and the rapline Ruka and Asa such nice soft raps in a Christmas song. They all did their thing.
This song gets me into full Christmas spirit thanks to BabyMonster.

We definitly need them on 1theK/MDR (It's Live)/dingo Music (Killing Voice) next Year and People will keep on complaining about YG even though it's totally unnecessary because they will continue with their Formula because it works non the less 🤷🏻♂️ and with BABYMONSTER they still changed it a tiny bit since they still showed their vocal skills even in a subdued Way and we still got it here in Full Effect so what it's totally fine how they will proceed with them in the Future because they will still Show their skill Level and will become a very successful Girlgroup 👍🏻
It looks like from those microphones, they did do a one take but then the production team and YG decided to hit us with m/v production cuts with a full on visual charm offensive. Loved this.

This MV have deferent layer's 3 to be exact! 1 is the one take clip that you can see just a little. 2 a lipsync production clip that is shown alot. Ad 3 the dancing around clip. And I would want to see the first one . 👀🤭
As to BM as a group, I have a suspicion that "Batter Up" wasn't necessarily their intended first release. Ahyeon got sick, and YG, having set a debut date, had to scramble. So, they either re-recorded Batter Up with just the six of them, or maybe it wasn't even one of their first songs. They probably had all of their first releases recorded, but with Ahyeon, and that would explain why they're not making appearances, but are putting out so much kind of redundant content (not this one). They're either waiting for her, or they're having to re-record everything and re-shoot M/V's and dance practices, etc. It's sad for her and a mess for YG.
Since ahyeon wasn’t appearing for a very long time before they even announced this, I think they knew that they had to debut as 6 for awhile. So I don’t think that it’s particularly a reasoning for it.

I thought so. Bcos Batter Up didn't hit that much as in the sound due to Yg saying they prepared a heavily hip-hop track and said they are being careful with song selection to fit expectations but otherwise it's a successful track too. That's why I thought Bater up was maybe a plan B track for 6 member debut since they were already in final stages of production when Ahyeon was missing from their online contents around end of July. So I think the lack of promotion was bcos everything was recorded with Ahyeon so they are waiting her recovery so that they can release their album which was supposed to be released on debut.

OMG! Who gives an eff what the critics say. Itzy kept changing their concept trying to please their critics. Now they’re a hot mess. STOP ADDRESSING THE CRITICS! If you like or dislike a song, so be it. These “critics” are going an extra mile to sabotage groups that are a threat to their faves.
