Metra Train Doors Closing Announcement Series

I took some videos of mine and made it into a doors closing series. Every type of metra car is in this movie except for these three cars: the Phase 2 Pullman, the Phase 3 Pullman, and the Bike cars. Once I get the doors closing announcements for those, they will be posted in another movie in the future. So stay tuned for those. I also didn’t record a high pitched doors closing announcement yet either. That will come soon too. So stay tuned for that as well.

I've been riding Metra for a long time and I've always noticed the door chimes sound different on certain cars. I have to say my favorite chime out of all of them would probably be the Budd cab car @ 1:36

Meanwhile Music City Star has a mix of the male voice and a lesser used voice that can be found in some Caltrain cars.

The MBTA commuter trains in Boston generally use that exact same chime and male announcement. This is on the single-level cars refurbished in the 1990s and 2000s, and the bi-level cars built by Kawasaki in the 1990s and 2000s. So I am VERY familiar with that particular chime and announcement.
